The present secondary research titled as a critical review: Effect of physical exercise on improving the quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease on renal replacement therapy, aimed to demonstrate whether physical activity improves the quality of life in patients with Chronic kidney disease in renal replacement therapy. The clinical question was: Will the effect of physical exercise (aerobic exercises, walking, squats) improve the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease on renal replacement therapy? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Science Direct, Pubmed, HINARI, Scielo, Redalyc, Springer, finding 24 articles, 12 being selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting a systematic review and meta-analysis titled Effects of intradialytic aerobic exercise on hemodialysis patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis, which has a level of evidence B I and Grade of Strong Recommendation, according to the expertise of the researcher. This critical review titled “Critical Review: Effect of RRT on the Quality of Life of CKD Patients” aimed to provide a professional and critical assessment based on the review of relevant clinical studies on the topic. The clinical question was: “What is the effect of RRT on the quality of life of CKD patients?” The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used to search for information in various databases like PubMed, Dialnet, Science Direct, and Redalyc, finding a total of 25 articles. The CASPE tool was applied to select 10 pertinent studies. As a result, the randomized clinical trial “Quality of life of patients having renal replacement therapy” was chosen. According to the research, this selected clinical trial has an A I level of evidence and a strong recommendation grade. The present secondary research entitled as a critical review: Effects of supplementation with omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on the permeability of vascular accesses of patients with chronic kidney disease on renal replacement therapy, aimed to identify the effects of supplementation with fatty acids polyunsaturated omega 3 in the permeability of vascular accesses of patients with chronic kidney disease in renal replacement therapy The clinical question was: - Will the nutritional intervention of supplementation with omega 3 fatty acids improve the Permeability of vascular access in patients with chronic kidney disease on renal replacement therapy? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Medline, Pubmed and Scielo, finding 17 articles, being selected 9 that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the review and meta-analysis article entitled Omega – 3 polyunsaturated fatty acid supplementation to prevent arteriovenous fistula and graft failure: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials, which has a level of evidence I and Grade of Recommendation I, according to the expertise of the researcher. Material and methods: A systematic observational and retrospective review was carried out, subjected to critical selection, through the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of bibliographic evidence in March 2019. In databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, Medline, Nephrology Magazine of the Spanish Society of Nephrology, Elsevier, the virtual magazine of global Nursing, the virtual magazine of intensive medicine of Mexico, Cuba, Chile and Spain. Only articles published between 2009 and March 2019 were included. The search was carried out only in Spanish. Results: It was evident that if there is a relationship between the application of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) and the decrease in morbidity and mortality in patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CKD), it is related to a greater extent to an early start, a younger age of the patient (<50 years) and at a lower frequency of application of Renal Replacement Therapy than required (minimum 3 times per week). Conclusion: the application of Renal Replacement Therapy or Renal Replacement does reduce morbidity and mortality in patients with CKD, and presents better results if applied at an early stage.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of Citrate Versus Heparin Anticoagulation in Decreasing Bleeding in Patients With Acute Renal Failure on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Cabanillas Huamán, Augusto Enrique; Rosas Casique, Diana Beatriz; Remuzgo Artezano, AnikaObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of citrate anticoagulation versus heparin to reduce bleeding in patients with acute renal failure on continuous renal replacement therapy. Results: The results obtained from the systematic reviews show that of the total of 10 scientific articles reviewed, 100% (n=10/10) report that the use of citrate anticoagulation is more effective compared to the use of heparin. , show that the implementation of a protocol, and the choice of first-line use of citrate anticoagulation is safe, and has more advantages than heparin, because it presents a lower risk of bleeding complications. and/or bleeding. Material and methods: Systematic observational and retrospective review, subjected to critical reading and using the GRADE evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence of the published articles. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 40% were of high quality and 60% of moderate quality as described below: 40% (n= 4/10) are systematic reviews and 60% (n= 6/10) are studies Quasi-experimental cohort Results: 70% (n=7/10) indicate that conservative treatment is more effective than renal replacement therapy to improve quality of life. 30% (n=3/10) indicate that renal replacement therapy is more effective than conservative treatment in improving quality of life. Materials and Methods: The study is quantitative, with a systematic review design. The population consisted of 39 articles that were reviewed, and 10 scientific articles were selected as the sample. Of these, 20% (n=2/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) were systematic review and meta-analysis, and 70% (n=7/10) were cohort studies. According to the quality of evidence, 30% was rated as high and 70% as moderate. In terms of the strength of recommendations, 30% were strong and 70% were weak, based on the country where the research was conducted. Results: The reviewed articles show that 40% (n=4/10) indicate the efficacy of renal replacement therapy in the risk of graft loss for survival in pediatric patients. Another 40% (n=4/10) state that it is partially effective, and 20% (n=2/10) state it is not effective. Results: Education was identified as the most significant factor in the choice of renal replacement therapy modality. Factors like employment intention, age, marital status, family support, comorbidities, and the ability to maintain an active lifestyle were also influential. Determine the relationship between family risk and family functionality of the patient with renal replacement therapy at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital. Methods. The study has a quantitative approach. The type of study is correlational and transversal. The sample population will consist of 50 patients undergoing renal replacement therapy at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital. The technique that will be applied is the interview. To measure family functionality, the FF – SIL Family Functioning Questionnaire instrument will be used and to measure total family risk, the RFT 5:33 questionnaire will be used. These instruments will be applied after acceptance of informed consent to each study unit. In the inferential statistical analysis, Spearman's rho or Pearson's r test will be used, after a normality test, and the value of statistical significance will also be taken into consideration (p≤0.05). Expected results. The present research is quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational. . The population and sample will be made up of 84 elderly patients with functional dependence undergoing hemodialysis in the Nephrology service during the months of July to September 2020. Materials and methods: Academic work of bibliographic review. Information was collected through the search procedure for scientific articles according to the search algorithm: PICO model. The evaluation of validity, quality, strength of recommendation of the scientific evidence, usefulness of the findings and ethical aspects was carried out. Results: 33 scientific articles were collected, of which 14 were selected. 42% of this selection studied protein-energy wasting in pediatric patients on renal replacement therapy. Conclusions: Although loss of appetite and increased growth retardation are common in both pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease whether with or without renal replacement therapy, the greatest impact of DPE is observed in pediatric patients than they receive, mainly in hemodialysis.
