Ítem Acceso abierto Critical review: risk of metabolic syndrome associated with rotational work in health professionals(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-06) Sampi Carmona, Elita Victoria; Bohórquez Medina, Sofia LorenaThis study will address the nutritional implications for healthcare personnel, focusing on factors such as night shift rotations, which play an important role in lifestyle, preventing a completely healthy life, and making it difficult to provide better patient care. The clinical question was: Are healthcare workers on night shifts more exposed to metabolic syndrome compared to those who do not work rotating shifts, due to nutritional impact? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (EBN) Network was used. The search was conducted in MEDLINE, SCIELO, PUBMED, SCIENCE DIRECT, SCOPUS, where previous research pointing to our clinical question was found, relating nutritional habits and the development of metabolic syndrome with night rotating shifts. In conclusion, according to the readings of all the research found, there is a strong correlation between poor dietary habits and healthcare workers' night shifts, as this type of schedule negatively affects eating habits, increasing rates of overweight and developing metabolic syndrome, which is a precursor to life-threatening diseases such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, coronary disease, and stroke.Publicación Acceso abierto DETERMINAR LOS RIESGOS ASOCIADOS A LA INHALACIÓN DE HUMO QUIRÚRGICO EN EL PERSONAL DE SALUD DE SALA DE OPERACIONES.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017) Estrada Peralta, Giovana Maribel; Mg. It was a deductive study with a quantitative approach, basic type, and a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and retrospective design. The population consisted of adult patients admitted to the hospital's medicine service, and a sample of 119 patients was taken. The instrument used was nutritional screening using the NRS-2002 tool. The results showed that 93 patients admitted to the medicine service presented a nutritional risk. The study had a quantitative approach, non-experimental methodological design, descriptive cross-sectional type, with a sample of 30 nursing professionals working in the Surgery Service. The technique used to collect data was the survey, and the instrument used was the Occupational Risks Questionnaire (modified by Nancy Mori Maldonado in 2015), which consists of 35 items on a Likert scale, divided into the following dimensions: biological (8), physical (8), chemical (6), ergonomic (6), and psychosocial (7).Publicación Acceso abierto Propuesta de implementación de un plan de seguridad laboral en una empresa metalmecánica, Lima 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-20) Esquives Garcia, Luis Humberto; Cáceres Trigooso, JorgeLa presente investigación titulada “Propuesta de Implementación de un Plan de Seguridad Laboral en una empresa metalmecánica, Lima 2018” se realiza con el fin de realizar una propuesta de una implementación en el área de producción para reducir los peligros y riesgos en ella. Se realizó una metodología holística, basándose en un enfoque mixto de tipo proyectiva. Mediante la realización de una triangulación para encontrar las categorías emergentes, se encuesta a 16 trabajadores de la empresa metalmecánica para las recaudación de información cuantitativa y para el análisis cualitativo se entrevistó a los supervisores y al Gerente General, para saber los peligros y riesgos que ocurren en la empresa en el área de producción. Sáenz hospital respond to rigorous demands inherent to the service, which increases the psychosocial risks of their work. Additionally, musculoskeletal disorders in this occupational group have been increasing over the years. Objective: To determine the relationship between psychosocial work risks and musculoskeletal disorders in healthcare staff from the emergency service at the PNP "Luis N. Sáenz" hospital in 2023. Methodology: A cross-sectional, observational, analytical, and correlational study was conducted. The population consisted of healthcare professionals from the emergency department of this hospital from September to October 2023, totaling 176 healthcare workers. The Nordic questionnaire was used to assess musculoskeletal injuries, and the CoPsoQ Istas 21 psychosocial risk assessment questionnaire was used for evaluating psychosocial risks. Results: 71.1% of emergency service staff suffer from musculoskeletal injuries, and the level of psychosocial work risks is high (43.8%). It was also found that psychological demands are significantly related to musculoskeletal injuries.Publicación Acceso abierto Riesgos en salud ocupacional por exposición de solventes orgánicos y niveles de fenoles totales en empleados de la industria gráfica del distrito de Villa el Salvador(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-18) Olaya Herrera, Maritza Aracelly; Ramos Sandoval, Judith Carmen; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoLa presente investigación se concentró en determinar el nivel de riesgos en salud por exposición de solventes orgánicos y niveles de fenoles totales en empleados de la industria gráfica del distrito de Villa El Salvador. La metodología de investigación fue el método deductivo y el diseño no experimental, la muestra estuvo conformada por 90 empleados de la industria gráfica. Además, el enfoque fue cuantitativo debido a que los datos se analizaron estadísticamente y responder la hipótesis de investigación. El instrumento que se empleó fue un cuestionario que se validó a través de un juicio de expertos dedicados al área ocupacional y químico. Así, esta prueba evaluó a los empleados de la industria gráfica en un solo momento, a fin de corroborar el conocimiento que tienen sobre los riesgos ocupacionales. El análisis de fenoles totales en orina se realizó por el método espectrofotométrico según las técnicas de Banfi y Marenzi. Los valores encontrados en las muestras de orina nos muestran que hay un nivel alto de exposición al benceno debido a que los valores están por encima de los referenciales en orina dadas por la OMS, 75mg/L para fenoles. En los resultados se observó que la mayoría de los empleados son de sexo masculino, cuyo grado de instrucción corresponde con secundaria y los niveles de fenoles totales se expresan en altas concentraciones. Se concluyó que la constante exposición a los solventes orgánicos presenta riesgos en los empleados; ya sea, de manera, física o química, debido al desconocimiento sobre las medidas preventivas para su salud y la inadecuada especificación de la normatividad de seguridad y salud en el trabajo.
