Methodology: The research had a quantitative approach, basic type, with a descriptive level, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional scope. The study population consisted of 1,600 surveyed users, and the sample was probabilistic, resulting in 310 users. These users were evaluated using a research instrument validated by a panel of three experts on the topic and reliability measured through Cronbach's alpha, which had a good value (α = 0.868). Results: Data tabulation revealed that the level of acceptance of generic medications among users visiting the BTP pharmacy in Chaclacayo, Lima provinces, in 2022 was expressed as medium (84.8%). Similarly, the information level was medium (70%), the consumption level was medium (72.3%), the safety level was low (50%), and the access level was medium (60.6%). Conclusion: The level of acceptance of generic medications among users was 84.8%.Publicación Acceso abierto Factores asociados a la aceptación de la vacuna COVID-19 en pobladores del sector VI – distrito de Villa El Salvador – Lima Metropolitana, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-25) Sánchez Luyo, Zoila Nelly; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelThe objective of the research is to determine the factors associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of Sector VI in the district of Villa El Salvador, Metropolitan Lima, 2022. Methodology: Using the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, basic correlational, and cross-sectional design. Two questionnaires were applied to a sample of 289 residents to evaluate the factors associated with COVID-19 infection and the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines. Results: A predominance of medium (53.29%) and low (46.71%) levels of factors associated with COVID-19 vaccination was observed, along with medium (63.32%) and high (30.10%) levels of acceptance of this vaccine. Additionally, medium levels for both variables were reported by 38.75% of respondents. Factors significantly associated with vaccine acceptance included: Sociodemographic factor: ‘occupation’ (p=0.000) Direct factors: ‘infection’ (p=0.000) and ‘side effects’ (p=0.001) Family risk factor: ‘infection from family members’ (p=0.000) Social risk factors: ‘individual transportation’ (p=0.030), ‘transport dependency’ (p=0.009), ‘social distancing’ (p=0.000), and ‘handwashing’ (p=0.000) Knowledge and belief risk factors: ‘immunity through infection’ (p=0.001), ‘vaccine efficacy’ (p=0.000), ‘type of side effects’ (p=0.015), ‘immune system protection’ (p=0.000), ‘disparity in health professionals’ arguments’ (p=0.004), and ‘fear of needles’ (p=0.004). Conclusion: Out of the 25 factors involved, 14 (56.00%) are significantly associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of Sector VI in the district of Villa El Salvador, Metropolitan Lima, 2022.Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de aceptación de medicamentos genéricos durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en usuarios que acuden a la farmacia San Rafaelito-distrito de San Miguel 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-23) Taboada Pasache, Luis Kevin; Huallanca Velasquez, Janet Mirtha; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe present research aimed to determine the level of acceptance of generic medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic among users attending the San Rafaelito Pharmacy in the San Miguel district. Methodology: The research is basic, descriptive-level, non-experimental, and cross-sectional, with a sample of 384 users. A questionnaire was used as the instrument, and a survey was the technique employed. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25.0. Results: Among the 384 surveyed users, 51.6% were female, 79.7% were aged between 30–59 years, and 42.7% had higher education. Regarding the acceptance of generic medicines, 50.3% presented a medium level; similarly, for the information dimension, 47.7% showed a medium level; for the access dimension, 53.1% showed a medium level; for the consumption dimension, 52.3% showed a medium level; and for the safety dimension, 44.5% showed a low level. Conclusion: A medium level of acceptance of generic medicines during the pandemic was determined, attributed to the users’ limited information about these medicines and their lack of confidence in their therapeutic effect.
