Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of skin protectors in preventing periostomal skin lesions in colostomized patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) De La Cruz Mendoza, Eva Emilia; Vargas Gastelú, Claudia Rudy; Mendigure Fernández, JulioObservational and retrospective systematic review, which synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations of the 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of skin protectors in the prevention of peristomal skin lesions. 100% (n=10/10) of these show that skin protectors are effective in preventing and regenerating peristomal and/or perilesional skin lesions; reducing the presence of erythema, dermatitis, redness and denudation of the skin, contributing to pain control and patient comfort.Ítem Acceso abierto Use of adenosine versus calcium channel antagonists for the care of patients with supraventricular tachycardia in the emergency room(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-08-02) Castillo Lazo, Gilmer Eduardo; Soto López, Karla Alexandra; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: Systematize the evidence on the use of adenosine compared to calcium channel antagonists in the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia in the emergency room. Material and methods: Algorithms were created and a search was carried out in the PubMed, Cochrane, TripdataBase and PlosOne metadata. Results: A total of 1915 studies were found and of them ten were included in the study. Two publications are from the United Kingdom, two from the USA, two from Australia, one belongs to Singapore, another to Uruguay, another from Germany, and the last from India. Conclusion: According to this review, the quality of the evidence is medium and high and the strength of the recommendation is high only in three articles reviewed. The seven studies affirm that the efficacy of adenosine and calcium channel blocker products are similar in effectiveness. Both medications differ in their side effects: Adenosine due to redness, nausea, chest pain and headache. Calcium channel antagonists have been shown to produce hypotension.
