Effectiveness of hearing protectors for the prevention of hearing loss in workers exposed to noise

The academic work is a Systematic Review that synthesizes the results of multiple investigations. The search was restricted to articles with full text submitted to a critical reading, using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, finding that 20% (02) of the total articles correspond to Spain. , another 20% (02) corresponds to Chile, 20% (02) more to Brazil, while 10% (01) corresponds to Mexico, another 10% (01) to Colombia, 10% (1) to Paraguay and finally another 10% (01) corresponds to the United Kingdom. These are mostly descriptive (40%), followed by quasi-experimental studies (30%), systematic review (10%), pre-experimental studies (10%), cohorts (10%), where of the total articles analyzed 90% affirm that hearing protectors are effective in preventing hearing loss, while 10% affirm that there is no significant information that supports the idea of better attenuation with the use of hearing protectors. The conclusion of this review is that hearing protectors are effective in preventing hearing loss in workers exposed to noise; There are also factors that can alter its effectiveness, such as the correct use of hearing protectors by the worker and training.

Effectiveness of non-invasive positive pressure mechanical ventilation in patients with acute asthma attending the emergency department

Objective: Systematize the effectiveness of interventions to prevent hearing loss in workers exposed to occupational noise. Materials and Methods: Systematic reviews are a form of research that compiles and provides a summary on a specific topic (aimed at answering a research question); They must be carried out according to a pre-established design. It is a systematic review of 10 selected articles, using the database Epistemonikos, Pubmed, Researchgate, Scielo, Open library. The 10 articles selected are quantitative research, 40% (4) are systematic review, 20% (2) are quasi-experimental, 20% (2) are cohort, and 10% (1) are cross-sectional. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 30% (03) correspond to Finland and the United States, while with 10% (01) we find Spain, Norway, England and Denmark respectively. In this systematic review, according to the evidence found, it is concluded that the effectiveness of interventions to prevent hearing loss in workers exposed to occupational noise is the application of technical measures, the implementation of hearing loss prevention programs, a shorter duration of occupational exposure to noise and the application of stricter legislation. Conclusion: It was evident in the reviewed research that technical measures such as the use of hearing protection devices are the most effective to prevent hearing loss in workers exposed to occupational noise.

Exposición al ruido y estrés laboral en los trabajadores de una industria en Huaura 2025

El objetivo del estudio es determinar la relación entre la exposición y estrés laboral en los trabajadores de una Industria en Huaura 2025. La metodología fue cuantitativa de diseño observacional, descriptivo, correlacional para establecer la relación significativa de las variables de estudio. La muestra estuvo conformada por 123 trabajadores de la industria. Para la primera variable se utilizará un cuestionario sobre la exposición al ruido que consta de 39 preguntas y con respecto a la segunda variable un cuestionario de estrés laboral que consta de 26 preguntas. En relación con la validez y confiabilidad, el primer instrumento fue validado a través del juicio de expertos, mientras que su confiabilidad se evaluó mediante el coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, obteniéndose un valor de 0.948, lo que indica un alto nivel de confiabilidad. En cuanto al segundo instrumento, su validez fue determinada mediante el juicio de expertos, y su confiabilidad se evaluó a través del coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, obteniéndose un valor de 0.909, lo que evidencia una alta confiabilidad.
