Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of the bag of Bogotá in prevention of complications in patients with abdominal sepsis(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-24) Villafuerte Montoya, Katherine Stefanny; Zanabria Román, Miriam; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerThe type of research was quantitative and the study design was a systematic review. The population consisted of a total of 14 scientific articles, of which the sample was made up of 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases. The GRADE method was used for evaluation, which assessed the quality of evidence and strength of recommendation. Of the 100% of the studies, it was concluded that 60% of the reviewed articles showed that they were not effective because they presented high rates of abdominal compartment syndrome, ventral hernias, and fistulas, compared to 40% of articles that showed the effectiveness of the Bogotá bag, with no complications developed and primary closure after laparotomy could be performed.
