    Efficacy of single-use disposable medical devices that are reprocessed

    A descriptive observational study was carried out, the design was a systematic review, the data collection was done through a bibliographic review of international research articles whose main objective was to systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of single-use disposable medical devices. reprocessed. 10 studies published in scientific databases were reviewed. The selected articles underwent evaluation using the GRADE method, which made it possible to evaluate the quality of evidence and grade the strength of the recommendations. Of the 10 studies reviewed, 70% show that the reprocessing of single-use disposable medical devices is effective and safe in terms of sterilization and efficacy, therefore, they can be reused in procedures, 30% show that Reprocessing of single-use disposable medical devices is not effective and safe in terms of sterilization and efficacy.
