    Family functionality and self-management in people with type II diabetes mellitus from the endocrinology clinic of the national hospital PNP Luis Nicasio Saenz.

    Objective: To describe the correlation between family functionality and self-management in people diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus at the Endocrinology outpatient clinic of the Central PNP Hospital Luis Nicasio Sáenz. Materials and methods: A quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional approach will be used with a sample of 109 patients. The survey technique will be employed, and the instruments used will be the Family APGAR, developed by Gabriel Smilkstein, and the Partners in Health Scale for Chronic Disease Self-Management.

    Level of self-management of hypertensive older adults according to sex, who attend the home of the Adulto Mayor del distrito de Magdalena del Mar

    In the present investigation, the objective is to determine the level of self-management of the hypertensive older adult according to sex who attends the Home for the Elderly of the District of Magdalena del Mar. Methodology: Descriptive quantitative cross-sectional approach, the population was 420 hypertensive older adults with a sample of 200 older adults diagnosed hypertensives, the instrument used was validated by Peñarrieta in 2014, whose name is “Partners in HealthScale”. Results: Self-management of the Hypertensive older adult; I present that 38% have moderate self-management, 35% low and 27% high. According to dimensions, in adherence to treatment, 34% have low self-management, 33% moderate and 33% high, Management of signs and symptoms, 42% have low self-management, 38% moderate and 20% high in knowledge of the disease 48% low, 39% moderate and 13% high. Regarding the differences in self-management of hypertensive older adults according to sex, 35.4% of older adults are female, they have a high level of self-management. 45.2% were predominantly male, presenting moderate self-management. Conclusions: Self-management of the elderly hypertensive, the moderate self-management level predominated.

    Diabetes, a non-communicable disease of priority in public health, does not respect the economic level or the country to which you belong, currently there are 463 million people affected and it is estimated that by 2030 it will be 578 million and by 2045 700 million, it requires a lot of family support, such as making decisions and behavioral changes necessary for self-management of diabetes; When you receive the diagnosis of diabetes it involves important changes in the family, related to their customs and care of their disease, family support is important for monitoring it and the changes that occur. Objective: To determine the relationship between self-management and family functionality in patients with type II diabetes mellitus who attend a level I-4 health facility in the Comas district 2022. Methodology: This research will use a hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, of an applied type, with a correlational design of an observational type and cross-section. The “Self-management of chronic diseases” questionnaire and the “Family Apgar” questionnaire will be used. Ethical principles will be taken into account, and informed consent will be requested from all participants.

    In the present research work, the objective: was to determine the level of self-management in patients with Type II diabetes mellitus, in the Podiatry and Endocrinology services of the Surco Salud 2017 Municipal Hospital. Method: the approach of the study was quantitative, cross-sectional, The instrument used for the self-management of patients with type II diabetes mellitus is the scale (Partners in Health Scale), this instrument was developed and validated by a team of researchers from Flinders University in Australia, it was also used in Australia, Mexico and Peru. Results: presented that the self-management of patients with type II diabetes mellitus, 49.3% have low self-management, 37.70% indicate high self-management and 13% have regular self-management. Conclusion: it is concluded that more than half have low self-management. .
