Ítem Acceso abierto Associated factors and their relationship with the quality of life in patients with cardiovascular diseases of a national hospital of the Cercado de Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-09) Trujillo Chauca, Marcos Rigoberto; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoObjective: To analyze the relationship between associated factors and quality of life in patients with cardiovascular diseases at a National Hospital in the Cercado de Lima, 2021. Material and method: This study was developed under a quantitative approach, as it uses data collection to support the study hypothesis and statistical analysis to determine the results in the target population. The design is correlational and cross-sectional, as it seeks to establish the relationship between the study variables. The population considered will be the 145 patients who attend the cardiology outpatient clinic of a hospital in Cercado de Lima. The technique to be used will be the survey, and the instrument for measuring quality of life will be the SF-36, while the factors will be assessed using the general data form, both of which have been validated in our context in 2020 and show acceptable reliability.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of personal radioprotection in health professionals working in the interventional cardiology area.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Rojas Castro, Yenny; Alzamora Gutarrra, Susan Maricruz; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerObjective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of personal radiation protection for healthcare professionals working in interventional cardiology. Materials and Methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review was conducted. Databases used include Eurointervention, SciELO, Elsevier, Cochrane Library, British Medical Journal, PubMed, Lancet, and SOLACI. The studies included in the review are as follows: 40% from the USA and Chile, 10% from Switzerland, Cuba, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, and Colombia. Regarding study designs, 40% were clinical/control trials and descriptive/observational studies, 30% were systematic reviews, and 20% included prospective and quasi-experimental studies. The results indicate that radiation protection measures are effective, except for studies by Zett-Lobos C. and Castro A., where lead glasses provide protection but below internationally recommended doses. Results: 80% of studies related to radiation protection measures in interventional cardiology show effectiveness. Conclusions: Radiation protection measures in interventional cardiology are effective because they significantly reduce radiation exposure, with lead and XPF capsules (barium sulfate-bismuth oxide bilayer) being the main protective elements. However, 2/10 studies show that radiation protection measures still exceed the annual dose limit recommended by the ICRP of 20 mSv/year. While effective in reducing radiation doses, these measures do not provide total protection.
