The dehumanization and depersonalization of these people by others through “labels” are stereotypes that society itself, out of fear and ignorance, acts on them. In our country, community mental health reform is being developed, however stigmatizing attitudes toward these people are present and increasing. Health personnel as promoters in the de-stigmatization process are no strangers to this. For this reason, it is important to know the level of stigmatizing attitudes already present in these professionals in order to intervene in it and collaborate in reducing social rejection.
