Material and method: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles found about the effectiveness of the use of honey compared to the use of silver sulfadiazine for tissue regeneration in patients with burns, were found in the following Cochrane databases, Scielo, Pubmed, Medline Lilacs; All of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 50% (05/10) belong to the methodological design of a comparative randomized clinical trial, 20% (02/10) to systematic reviews plus meta-analysis, 20% (02/10) to cohort study and 10% (01/10) only to a systematic review. Of the 10 articles fully reviewed, 100% (10/10) show that the use of honey is more effective than the use of silver sulfadiazine in tissue regeneration of patients with burns, having a more positive effect on the healing process. Conclusions: The study concluded that of the 10 articles reviewed, the total (10/10) evidence the effectiveness of the use of honey compared to the use of silver sulfadiazine for tissue regeneration in patients with burns.
