Effectiveness of kidney transplantation in the survival of patients with terminal chronic kidney failure
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-21) Figueroa Hilario, Yovana Clarita; Peña Nostades, Danae Deborah; Palomino Taquire, Rewards
The nurse specialist in nephrology care; They are part of the interdisciplinary group of transplant programs and are the ones who verify that the patient complies with the rigorous preparation at each stage of the process, playing different roles in order to achieve comprehensive care for the patient. The complexity and continuity of care at the different times and scenarios in which the transplant takes place will determine the effectiveness of the kidney transplant, increasing the survival of the patient's graft. The nurse plays a very important role, the results of the transplant will be reflected in the interventions of the nurse specialist in nephrological care, from the administration of progressive holistic care in the transplant process, as well as the educational role.

Effectiveness of living donor kidney grafts compared to deceased donor grafts in improving survival in patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-07) Jacobi Niño, Juan José; Vidaurre Braco, Martha Jackeline; Bonilla Asalde, César Antonio
Objective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of living donor kidney transplantation compared to deceased donor transplantation for improving the survival of patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease (ESCKD). Methodology: This was an observational and retrospective systematic review. Of the total 100% (10) scientific articles reviewed, 20% (2) were from Spain, 20% (2) from Colombia, 10% (1) from the United States, 10% (1) from Portugal, 10% (1) from Ecuador, 10% (1) from Cuba, 10% (1) from Guatemala, and 10% (1) from Bolivia. Additionally, 30% of the reviewed articles were systematic reviews from Colombia, the United States, and Portugal, while 70% (7) were randomized clinical trials from Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Results: According to the findings of the reviewed studies, 90% demonstrated that living donor kidney transplants are more effective than deceased donor transplants for improving the survival of patients with ESCKD. Moreover, only 10% showed that living donor kidney transplants are similar to deceased donor transplants in improving survival. Conclusions: The systematic review allows us to conclude that living donor kidney transplantation is more effective than deceased donor transplantation for improving survival in patients with ESCKD.

Efficacy of citrate compared to heparin in sealing catheters in patients with hemodialysis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-25) Peralta Rojas, María Consuelo; Lino Perez, Jhomnela Pilar; Rivera Lozada de Bonilla, Oriana
Methodology: the study was a Systematic Review of 10 articles whose search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using the evaluation of the GRADE system to identify the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations . Results: The results obtained from the reviews show that of the total of 10 scientific articles reviewed, 20% (n=2/10) report that the use of citrate is effective compared to heparin, greater survival of the catheters, has a profile more favorable side effect. 60% (n=6/10) indicate that citrate and heparin are similar as anticoagulant in the sealing of catheters, the use of sodium citrate does not present clear advantages in the complications of infections compared to sodium heparin. 20% (n=2/10) report that there is no difference between citrate and heparin. Conclusion: it was concluded that heparin and citrate are effective in sealing catheters, there were no significant differences. In this sense, more comparable research studies are necessary to be able to discuss and conclude which recommendations should be transferred into clinical practice in hemodialysis.
