Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions for the prevention of vasovagal syncope in adult patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-13) Jiménez Valencia, Patricia Matilde; Custodio Mayaute, Zoila Lourdes; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions for the prevention of vasovagal syncope in adult patients. Material and Methods: A systematic review of international research was carried out, obtained from the databases: Epistemonikos, PubMed and Cochrane, which have been analyzed using the GRADE system. The search was performed using the DeCS and MeSH descriptors for the search in Spanish and English respectively. The population was made up of 50 scientific articles, of which 10 represent: 40% (4/10) of the reviewed articles correspond to the USA, 20% (2/10) correspond to Iran, and the remaining 40% (4/10) correspond to China, Italy, Holland, and Egypt respectively. Results: 70% (7/10) of the evidence indicates that non-pharmacological interventions are effective in preventing vasovagal syncope in adult patients, and 30% (3/10) of the evidence indicates that non-pharmacological interventions are not effective in preventing vasovagal syncope in adult patients. Conclusions: 7/10 of the evidence shows that non-pharmacological interventions are effective in preventing vasovagal syncope in adult patients, 3/10 of the evidence shows that non-pharmacological interventions are not effective in preventing vasovagal syncope in adult patients.
