Unfortunately, it is diagnosed in advanced stages, so nutrient absorption is affected and the risk of malnutrition increases, negatively affecting the immune system. The objective of the present review was to know the effect of nutritional therapy on the treatment and prognosis of patients with gastric cancer, to know what type of nutritional intervention has a better impact on the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. A systematic search of articles was carried out in a precise and non-repetitive manner using Scopus, ScienceDirect, Pubmed, Cochrane Library and Scielo as databases. Of which 86 articles were identified, 21 were selected for evaluation by the “Critical Appraisal Skills Program Spain Caspe” tool. Finally, the review article with the highest level of recommendation was chosen to write the critical comment. According to the level of recommendation, we can affirm that early intervention with enteral nutrition results in greater benefit and applicability in clinical practice even over parenteral nutrition, which confirms the importance of prescribing early nutrition in clinical practice. .
