Bernales, Lima - 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-27) Collazos Rodriguez, Ana Virginia; Benites Castillo, Santiago MoisesObjective: To determine the relationship between Hospital Solid Waste Management and Environmental Health, Department of Surgery of the Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital, Lima - 2022. Methodology: Correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional, retrospective study. The sample consisted of 104 health professionals from the Surgery Department of the Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital. Results: Management of hospital solid waste and Health, it can be seen that the environmental majority of the respondents, more than 80% of them, valued Acceptable. On the other hand, a small number of those surveyed, less than 20%, rated it as Poor, none rated the two variables as Very Poor. A clear relationship between both variables can be visualized. Conclusions: The management of hospital solid waste is related to environmental health, since the Rho Spearman significance was obtained below 0.05, so the test is significant. The management of hospital solid waste is related to the management of biocontaminated hospital solid waste, since the Rho Spearman significance was obtained below 0.05, so the test is significant. Hospital solid waste management is related to common hospital solid waste, since the Rho Spearman significance was obtained below 0.05, so the test is significant. Hospital solid waste management is related to special hospital solid waste, since the Rho Spearman significance was obtained below 0.05, so the test is significant.
