Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between musculoskeletal symptomatology and work stress in nursing staff of the emergency assisted transport system EsSalud 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-31) Franco Chapa, María del Carmen; Rubina Rivera, Gady; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik AnatoliObjective: Determine the relationship between Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Work Stress in the Nursing Staff of the Essalud 2018 Emergency Assisted Transport System. Material and methods: It was quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational, the total population was 120 nursing professionals who work in the Essalud Emergency Assisted Transport System. Results: Regarding the musculoskeletal symptomatology variable, it was found that 100% of the nursing professionals surveyed had discomfort and 98.2% had had discomfort in the last 12 months, 1.8% had no discomfort and with respect to the days The most outstanding percentage showed that 51.8% presented discomfort for more than 30 days, followed by 24.5% from 1 to 7 days, on the other hand Regarding the duration of each episode of discomfort, 57.3% presented discomfort from 1 to 24 hours, 29.1% from 1 to 7 days and 10.9% less than an hour. On the other hand, the work stress of the nursing staff was found that 61.8% had high work stress, followed by 38.2% had medium work stress and 0% had low work stress. Conclusions: There is no relationship between musculoskeletal symptoms and work stress in nursing staff who work in the emergency assisted transportation system Lima 2018, however, in the item How long have you been experiencing discomfort?, it does have a significant relationship with work stress. P value = 0.004.
