Materials and Methods: Data collection was carried out through a bibliographic review of both national and international research articles that had as their main topic the effectiveness of psychosocial therapies to improve the quality of life in patients with schizophrenia and psychosis; Of the articles found, the most predominant ones according to level of evidence were included. The search was ordered as long as there was access to the full text of the scientific writing. Results: 100% evidence demonstrates that psychosocial therapies are effective in improving the quality of life in patients with schizophrenia and psychosis. Conclusions: Psychosocial therapies are effective in improving the quality of life in patients with schizophrenia and psychosis, they contribute significantly to the neuropsychological and psychosocial functioning of patients with schizophrenia and psychosis. Improves social skills, reduces the risk of relapse, promotes return to work and education, improves personal and family interrelationships, reduces symptoms, reduces family burden, reduces the risk of hospitalization, improves quality of life and global functioning. long term.
