Ítem Acceso abierto Level of quality of life in patients with shoulder musculoskeletal disorders at the mg physiocience and pain specialized therapy center, period 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-15) Muñoz Naveros, Yobitza; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudObjective: To determine the level of quality of life in patients with shoulder musculoskeletal disorders at the Fisiociencia and Dolor MG Specialized Therapy Center, 2023. Materials and Methods: The research approach was quantitative, with a sample of 84 patients diagnosed with shoulder musculoskeletal disorders. The sampling method was non-probabilistic, census-type, according to the selection criteria. Results: The sample consisted of a slight majority of female patients (52.44%), while 49.41% were male. Most patients had overweight, representing 23.17% of the sample. Patients with obesity (Grade I, II, and III) together made up 48.77%. 14.63% of patients had normal weight, and 13.41% had low weight. The most common disorder was shoulder instability, which represented 18.3% of the sample. Rotator cuff disorders, shoulder osteoarthritis, adhesive capsulitis, and shoulder bursitis each represented 13.41% of the population. 12.2% of patients had bicipital tendinitis. 10.98% of patients had shoulder impingement syndrome. 4.9% of patients had glenoid labrum tears, making this the minority group. Conclusions: According to marital status, married patients had a higher percentage. Regarding height, the sample had an average height range of 1.54 to 1.65 meters. The majority of patients were overweight based on BMI. Shoulder instability was the most prevalent disorder in the sample.
