Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017) Ccoya Ariza, Edert; Cesar Arellano, SacramentoObjective: To determine the difference in the level of anxiety in patients aged 6 to 8 years before and after being treated at the Dental Clinic of the Private University Norbert Wiener. Materials and Method: A population of 41 children (10 boys and 31 girls), aged 6 to 8 years, with no prior experience in dental treatments, was studied. The level of anxiety, using the Facial Image Scale (FIS) and filled out by the patient, was measured before and after the dental treatment determined by the operator, not the researcher. Conclusion: The majority of patients treated for dental operations maintained mild anxiety. Most of the children aged 6, 7, and 8 years maintained mild anxiety. No difference was found in the level of anxiety in patients aged 6 to 8 years before and after being treated at the dental clinic.
