The methodology used was basic, hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational. Two questionnaires were used, which were applied to a total of 90 older adults. As descriptive results, it was found that the inhabitants made frequent use of the Mashua Negra (35.6 %) and with respect to prostate disorders, 35.6 % of those surveyed had a serious or potentially malignant level. As inferential data, there was a very strong inverse correlation between the use of Black Mashua and prostate disorders (Rho = -0.897; Sig. = 0.000). It was established that there was a statistical relationship between the use of the Black Mashua and prostate disorders in older adults in the district of Ate Vitarte Lima-Peru, 2024.
