    Actitudes frente a la vacunación COVID-19 en pobladores del caserío Valle Hermoso del distrito de Monsefú – provincia Chiclayo, 2022

    The research, titled "Attitudes Toward COVID-19 Vaccination Among Residents of the Valle Hermoso Hamlet in the Monsefú District – Chiclayo Province, 2022," had the Objective of determining the relationship between the attitudes of the population of the Valle Hermoso hamlet and COVID-19 vaccination in the Monsefú district, Chiclayo province, in 2022. Methodology: This was a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative approach, a cross-sectional type, basic research, correlational study, and a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 188 residents, and the instrument used was a questionnaire. Data processing was performed using the SPSS version 25 statistical program. Results: A relationship exists between overall attitudes and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.560 indicating a moderate correlation. A relationship exists between experiences and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.200 indicating a weak correlation. A relationship exists between emotions and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.390 indicating a moderate correlation. A relationship exists between valuation and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.502 indicating a moderate correlation. A relationship exists between risk perception and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.556 indicating a moderate correlation. A relationship exists between knowledge and COVID-19 vaccination, with the value rs=0.491 indicating a moderate correlation.

Materiales y métodos: La presente investigación fue abordada desde el método hipotético deductivo, el enfoque fue cuantitativo y su diseño correlacional/transversal. Se contó con una muestra de 108 personas. La técnica fue la encuesta y para medición de variables se contó con 2 cuestionarios sobre conocimientos sobre vacuna COVID-19 y actitudes hacia la vacunación.

    Efectos adversos atribuidos a la vacuna contra el coronavirus (COVID-19) en participantes que acuden al vacunatón en el distrito de San Juan de Miraflores. Lima 2021

    COVID-19 has caused many deaths in Peru and worldwide. Since its appearance, the only way to combat it and prevent the severity of its symptoms has been through vaccination. The objective of this research was to analyze the adverse effects attributed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine in participants attending a vaccination event in the San Juan de Miraflores district. The study was deductive, with a quantitative approach, an applied type, and a non-experimental, observational, and cross-sectional design. The sample was 384 participants selected by systematic probabilistic sampling. The technique was a survey, the instrument was a questionnaire, and the processing of tables and figures was performed using Excel and SPSS statistical software. Results: The most frequent adverse effects at the injection site were pain (83.9%), inflammation (6.3%), and redness (5.7%). The most frequent somatic adverse effects were general malaise (89.3%), muscle pain (64.6%), and fever (24.7%). The intensity of the adverse effects at both the injection site and the somatic level was mild. Women reported more local adverse effects, while men reported more somatic effects. In conclusion, the COVID-19 vaccine administered to residents of the San Juan de Miraflores district at the Vaccinathon presents mild adverse effects, and it is suggested that vaccination continue to protect and immunize the greatest number of residents.

    Eventos supuestamente atribuibles a la vacuna o inmunización contra SARS-COV-2 en la DIRIS Lima Centro 2021

    The research aimed to evaluate the events supposedly attributable to vaccination or immunization against SARS-CoV-2 in DIRIS Lima Centro, Lima 2021. The study assessed the quality of notifications regarding SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. The research used the deductive method, a quantitative approach, and was applied research, focusing on preserving knowledge and putting it into practice, with an observational cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 815 notifications, and the sample included 529 notifications of AEFI (Adverse Events Following Immunization) related to SARS-CoV-2. A data collection sheet validated by expert judgment was used as the instrument. Results showed that 394 AEFIs occurred in adults aged 30 to 59, with 95 reporting arm pain, while 78 young individuals aged 18 to 29 reported events, of which 19 had arm pain. Among older adults, 51 events were reported, with 7 indicating arm pain. Additionally, 399 AEFIs were reported in females and 126 in males. AEFI evaluations could improve significantly if healthcare professionals enhance their reporting practices.

    Eventos supuestamente atribuibles a la vacunación o inmunización (ESAVI) y características de las vacunas contra el COVID-19 en adultos del distrito de San Isidro 2022

    Objective: To identify the Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) and characteristics of COVID-19 vaccines in adults in the San Isidro district in 2022. Methodology: This was a quantitative, deductive, analytical, applied, and non-experimental study. The technique was observation, and the instrument was a survey applied to 382 patients. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics presented in tables and figures. Results: The findings showed that for local reactions, 86% reported a mild reaction at the injection site, while for somatic reactions, 89% presented a mild reaction. Regarding the type of vaccine, 41.6% indicated they received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 59.4% received the third dose. For pre-existing conditions, 77.2% had no prior illnesses, aside from stress (7.6%), diabetes (5.0%), and hypertension (2.9%). Conclusion: It was identified that 87.5% of the Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) from COVID-19 vaccines in adults in the San Isidro district in 2022 were of a mild nature.

    Factores asociados a la aceptación de la vacuna COVID-19 en pobladores del sector VI – distrito de Villa El Salvador – Lima Metropolitana, 2022

    The objective of the research is to determine the factors associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of Sector VI in the district of Villa El Salvador, Metropolitan Lima, 2022. Methodology: Using the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, basic correlational, and cross-sectional design. Two questionnaires were applied to a sample of 289 residents to evaluate the factors associated with COVID-19 infection and the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines. Results: A predominance of medium (53.29%) and low (46.71%) levels of factors associated with COVID-19 vaccination was observed, along with medium (63.32%) and high (30.10%) levels of acceptance of this vaccine. Additionally, medium levels for both variables were reported by 38.75% of respondents. Factors significantly associated with vaccine acceptance included: Sociodemographic factor: ‘occupation’ (p=0.000) Direct factors: ‘infection’ (p=0.000) and ‘side effects’ (p=0.001) Family risk factor: ‘infection from family members’ (p=0.000) Social risk factors: ‘individual transportation’ (p=0.030), ‘transport dependency’ (p=0.009), ‘social distancing’ (p=0.000), and ‘handwashing’ (p=0.000) Knowledge and belief risk factors: ‘immunity through infection’ (p=0.001), ‘vaccine efficacy’ (p=0.000), ‘type of side effects’ (p=0.015), ‘immune system protection’ (p=0.000), ‘disparity in health professionals’ arguments’ (p=0.004), and ‘fear of needles’ (p=0.004). Conclusion: Out of the 25 factors involved, 14 (56.00%) are significantly associated with the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of Sector VI in the district of Villa El Salvador, Metropolitan Lima, 2022.

    The objective of this research was to analyze the factors associated with adverse reactions to the Pfizer BioNTech third dose COVID-19 vaccine administered to elderly individuals in the Aeropuerto Human Settlement. Regarding adverse factors, three dimensions were considered, and for adverse reactions, one dimension was analyzed. The research method was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, observational, cross-sectional design. A written survey on factors associated with adverse reactions was applied to a sample of 197 elderly individuals. Data processing was carried out using the SPSS 25 statistical software, and graphs and tables were prepared using Excel 2016. Results: The study found that associated factors are related to adverse reactions. The dimensions studied, such as age, sex, and concomitant diseases, show a significant relationship with adverse reactions. Additionally, the most common adverse reaction observed was pain at the injection site.

    Factores determinantes de aceptación a la vacunación contra la Covid 19 en usuarios que acuden a la farmacia Pharmasalud del distrito de San Martín de Porres. Lima 2023

    At the beginning of 2020, the population was affected by a new disease, the coronavirus, which is COVID-19. This research aimed to evaluate the determining factors of acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccination among users who visit the Pharmasalud pharmacy in the San Martin de Porres district. The methodology applied was descriptive and cross-sectional. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 366 people who visit the Pharmasalud pharmacy in the San Martin de Porres district between August and September 2023. The evaluation consisted of 18 questions. The dimensions of the determining factors were information about the vaccination, history of deceased relatives, medical history, and sources of information. The results obtained for the determining factors showed that 51% were informed, while 24% (NO), in the history of deceased relatives, 56% indicated that they did have deceased relatives, while 75% did not have any medical history. We can conclude that there is a relationship between information about vaccination and the history of deceased relatives with the acceptance of vaccination.

    Factores que influyen al rechazo a la vacunación COVID-19 en personas que acuden en una oficina farmacéutica del distrito de Ate Vitarte 2022

    The objective of the research was to identify the factors influencing the rejection of COVID-19 vaccination among individuals visiting a pharmaceutical office in the Ate Vitarte district in 2022. Method: A quantitative approach was used, with a basic, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective non-experimental design. The technique was a survey, and the instrument was an 18-question closed questionnaire. Results revealed the following sociodemographic characteristics: 51% of users were between 30 and 59 years old, 57% were female, 78% had a completed secondary education, and 49% belonged to the Evangelical religion. Furthermore, 72% of users reported not having been diagnosed with COVID-19, 88% did not have chronic diseases, and 53% believed they would experience side effects and adverse reactions. 72% distrusted the vaccine's effectiveness, 70% of people believed the information available was very scarce. It is important to note that 59% believed false information, and 71% believed that "vaccination enriches manufacturers." Conclusion: Factors influencing vaccine rejection were identified as being female, being over 30 years old, having a completed secondary education, not having chronic diseases, believing false information, and distrusting the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines.

    Factores que influyen en el desinterés por la cuarta vacuna del COVID-19 en población adulta en Pamplona Alta distrito San Juan de Miraflores – Lima Metropolitana, 2022

    The research aimed to determine the factors influencing the lack of interest in the fourth COVID-19 vaccine among the adult population of Pamplona Alta, district of San Juan de Miraflores, during the year 2022. The study was of a basic type, with a deductive method and a non-experimental design. It was cross-sectional in scope and descriptive in level. The population consisted of 350 users of the ABC Farma pharmacy, with a sample of 252 individuals who were administered a questionnaire. The results showed that the predominant factor influencing the lack of interest in receiving the fourth COVID-19 vaccine was the adverse effects, reported by 73%. It was concluded that adverse effects (73%) were the most influential factor in the lack of interest in the fourth COVID-19 vaccine among the adult population of Pamplona Alta.

    In 2020, the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines gained importance due to the virus's impact on people. The main objective was to identify the relationship between sociodemographic factors and the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among people visiting the Santa Rosa Market in the Chorrillos District from January to April 2022. The methodology was a correlational level and an observational-cross-sectional type. A questionnaire was used to analyze a sample of 384 people, with the evaluation focused on 15 questions across two variables, using the dimensions of sociodemographic factors. Results: Among the sociodemographic factors, it was determined that 48.2% were aged 36 to 64; 59.9% had a secondary education; 64.8% were employed; and 81.8% had a history of health conditions. In conclusion, a relationship exists between both educational level and acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as between employment status and vaccine acceptance among people visiting the Santa Rosa Market in Chorrillos, Lima, in 2022.

    Marcadores inflamatorios en vacunados contra COVID-19 atendidos en un Hospital Nivel III de la ciudad de Lima; enero - diciembre 2021

    La COVID-19 sigue siendo un reto para el sector salud al nivel mundial, en el campo de laboratorio clínico conocer las alteraciones de los exámenes en pacientes infectados es de utilidad en el diagnóstico, pronostico y monitoreo de la enfermedad. Tuvo como objetivo: Determinar si existe relación entre los marcadores inflamatorios en vacunados y no vacunados contra COVID-19 atendidos en un Hospital Nivel III de la ciudad de Lima; enero - diciembre 2021. Materiales y Métodos: Se aplicó un enfoque sistemático y usó métodos de investigación cuantitativa para analizar y sintetizar 96 historias clínicas con resultados de marcadores inflamatorios (PCR, recuento de leucocitos, recuento de linfocitos, dímero D y ferritina) de pacientes infectados antes y después de recibir la vacuna contra la COVID-19. Resultados: Se incluyó pacientes de ambos sexos atendidos en el área de emergencia, la edad media en no vacunados fue 40.92 años y en los vacunados fue 55,65 años, del total 56 (58 %) fueron hospitalizados, 54 % no vacunados y 46 % vacunados y el promedio de días hospitalizados fueron de 10.96 y 10.65 respectivamente. 20(21 %) de los pacientes ingresaron a UCI, del cual 75% corresponde a no vacunados y 5% vacunados. En los pacientes no vacunados contra COVID-19, la concentración media de PCR fue 6.37±5.92 y en vacunados 3,01±2,82, leucocitos 9338,33±4698,48 y 8496,25±3099,07, linfocitos 14,85%±7,09 y 21,29%±10,2, dímero D 1,48±1,08 y 0,72±0,58, ferritina 735,30±428,96 y 470,0±272,01 respectivamente. Conclusiones: Las concentraciones de PCR, dímero D, ferritina y recuento de linfocitos fueron menor en los pacientes vacunados en relación a los no vacunados, en cuanto al recuento de leucocitos no hubo diferencias significativas.

    The objective was to determine the level of knowledge and attitude toward SARS-CoV-2 vaccination among residents visiting the Mathias Drugstore. Methodology: An inductive method was used, with a quali-quantitative approach. The research type was basic prospective, and the design was non-experimental. The sample consisted of 150 people visiting the drugstore during September and October 2021. Non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used. The data collection technique was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire validated by three university professionals. Data processing was performed using Excel and Word. Results: Of 384 people surveyed, 74.22% were female, 56.66% were married, 63.54% had a secondary education, and 64.03% had a history of COVID-19. Regarding knowledge level, 74% had good knowledge of the vaccine type, 55.7% had good information about the vaccine, and 56.3% had good knowledge about vaccine myths. For attitude, 82.6% agreed with the cognitive disposition toward vaccination, 75.5% agreed with the behavioral disposition, and 77.3% agreed with the emotional disposition. Conclusions: The level of knowledge about the vaccine was good, and there was agreement in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional attitude among the surveyed adult population.

    Nivel de conocimiento y aceptación de la vacuna Pfizer-Biontech contra el COVID-19 en padres de menores de 11 años del Asentamiento Humano Municipal Sicuani. Lima 2022

    The lack of information or misinformation about vaccines limits their protective effect, making it a public health issue. The objective of this research was to evaluate the level of knowledge and acceptance of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine among parents of children under 11 years old in the Sicuani Municipal Human Settlement. The methodology was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, basic, and employed a cross-sectional, non-experimental design with a correlational scope. Spearman's Rho statistical test was used for the correlation. A sample of 388 parents of children under 11 years old was studied, and a questionnaire on the level of knowledge and acceptance of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was administered. Reliability was assessed using the test-retest method. Results: 46.6% of respondents demonstrated a medium level of knowledge about the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Regarding acceptance, 49.7% neither agreed nor disagreed with its approval, and only 20.9% agreed to accept the vaccine. Therefore, we conclude that there is a significant association between the two variables (p-value = 0.004), with a correlation coefficient of (Rho = +0.145), and the positive sign indicates a direct correlation.

    The objective of this research was to evaluate the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of the Ate district. Methodology: The study employed the hypothetical-deductive method, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. The population consisted of residents of the Ate district, and the sample included 385 individuals from the same area. Results: It was found that the level of knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine was high (89.4%), yet the population showed a rejection attitude (56.1%) toward the vaccine. Spearman's correlation test yielded a significance value of Sig.=0.196, indicating no significant relationship between the variables. Conclusion: There is no relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of the Ate district in 2022.

    The objective of this research was to determine how the level of knowledge and attitude relate to the COVID-19 vaccine among users of the "El Triunfo" market in the Ate district, Lima, in March 2021. The methodology was deductive, a basic type, with a quantitative vision. The design was descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, and prospective. Simple random probabilistic sampling was used, with 384 users participating, and a questionnaire was applied as the instrument. Results: 47.4% presented a high rating for the vaccine administration schedule, 84.1% a high rating for the importance and myths of the vaccine, and 70.8% a medium rating for practical post-vaccine care. Furthermore, 69.5% had a high level of knowledge about vaccine generalities. For attitude, 51% presented a high cognitive level, 54.2% a medium affective level, and 71.9% a high behavioral level. 87.4% who had a high rating for the administration schedule also had a high level of knowledge and attitude toward the vaccine. 80.2% who had a high rating for the importance and myths of the vaccine also had a high level of knowledge and attitude toward the vaccine, and 88.1% who had a high rating for practical post-vaccine care also presented a high level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine. Conclusion: The level of knowledge and attitude is positively or directly related to the COVID-19 vaccine among users of the "El Triunfo" market.

    The pandemic has not yet ended, and alarms have been raised again in Asian countries regarding a resurgence of the disease. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and attitude toward SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in the adult population visiting the Pharmavital drugstore in Villa las Palmas-Lurín, 2022. Method: The method was deductive, with a quantitative approach and an applied, non-experimental design. The population consisted of adult participants, and the sample was 384 people. The technique employed was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire. Data were processed using Excel and SPSS systems. Results: Of 384 people, 74.22% were female, 56.66% were married, 63.54% had a secondary education, and 64.03% had a history of COVID-19. Regarding the level of knowledge, 74% had good knowledge of the vaccine type, 55.7% had good information about the vaccine, and 56.3% had good knowledge about vaccine myths. Furthermore, 82.6% were in agreement with the cognitive disposition toward vaccination, 75.5% with the behavioral disposition, and 77.3% with the emotional disposition. Conclusions: The level of knowledge about the vaccine was good, and there was agreement in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional attitude among the surveyed adult population.

    Nivel de conocimiento y actitud respecto a la vacuna contra la COVID-19 en pobladores del Pueblo Joven Túpac Amaru de Villa – Chorrillos en el contexto de la emergencia sanitaria. Lima 2021

    The objective was to evaluate the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of the Túpac Amaru de Villa shantytown in Chorrillos, within the context of the health emergency. Methodology: This was a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative approach, an applied type, and a non-experimental, observational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 281 residents over 18 years old, selected by probabilistic sampling. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire for knowledge and a Likert scale for attitude. Both were validated by expert judgment and deemed reliable (KR-20 = 0.63 and Cronbach's α = 0.93). Results: The level of knowledge was medium (68.7%). 76.2% presented a positive attitude, and 23.8% a negative attitude toward the vaccine. No significant difference was found between knowledge and sociodemographic characteristics (for all p > 0.05), nor between attitude and sociodemographic characteristics (for all p > 0.05). However, a significant difference was found between the level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine (p=0.008 and contingency coefficient 0.182). Conclusion: A relationship exists between the level of knowledge and attitude toward the COVID-19 vaccine among residents of the Túpac Amaru de Villa shantytown in Chorrillos.

    Reacciones adversas de medicamentos y vacunas contra el COVID-19 en usuarios que acuden a la botica Salud y Vida del distrito de Ancón 2021–2022

    Objective: To evaluate the adverse reactions (ADRs) to medications and vaccines against COVID-19 in users visiting the Salud y Vida Drugstore in the Ancón district from 2021 to 2022. Material and method: The method was deductive, with a quantitative approach. The type was applied, and the design was non-experimental, cross-sectional observational. The technique was a survey, and the instrument was a 24-question questionnaire with a dichotomous scale. The study was conducted at the Salud y Vida drugstore, where the population was 300 users, and a sample of 200 was taken. Result: The ADRs to medications against COVID-19 were: nausea/vomiting (3.5%), diarrhea (15%), headache (6.5%), irritability (3%), swelling (4%), liver damage (14%), and pruritus (17%). The ADRs to vaccines against COVID-19 were: inflammation (87%), pain at the injection site (85%), headache (79%), fever (46%), muscle pain (81%), and pruritus (51%). Conclusions: The study successfully identified the adverse reactions to medications and vaccines against COVID-19.

    Reacciones adversas por inoculación de vacuna COVID-19 en adultos del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2023

    The main objective of the study was to "Identify adverse reactions manifested by adults after COVID-19 vaccination in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2023." The research method was deductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and descriptive level. The population consisted of adults vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, and the sample included 384 adults from the same district. Using a survey technique, data collection identified that among the 384 respondents, 6.2% reported gastrointestinal reactions after vaccination, 16.4% reported cardiovascular system effects, 17.8% reported effects on the nervous system, 17.7% on the immune system, 31.7% on the musculoskeletal system, and 10% reported dermatological reactions. Conclusion: The most common adverse reactions reported by adults after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima in 2023 were related to the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and immune system.
