    Effectiveness of zinc oxide paste in treating venous ulcers and pressure ulcers

    Objective: Analyze and systematize the effectiveness of zinc oxide paste on venous ulcers and pressure ulcers Material and Method: This is a quantitative study with a systematic review design, which summarizes the results of different investigations. There was a population of 35 articles, the sample consisted of 10 articles which were subjected to a fairly critical reading, the GRADE system was used to establish the strength of recommendation. Results: 90% of the articles demonstrated that the use of zinc oxide paste facilitated the healing process of venous ulcers and pressure ulcers; Likewise, 30% were effective as anti-inflammatories and cost reduction respectively. 20% of the articles reported the ability to protect the injury. Conclusions: The effectiveness of zinc oxide paste in venous ulcers and ulcers was demonstrated. pressure facilitating the healing process of perilesional skin, protection of the injury, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial effect and cost reduction.
