Ítem Acceso abierto Level of information on surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety of the pre-surgical patient in the clinic novo q, lima 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-29) Molero Vizcarra, Adriana Almendra; Fuentes Siles, María AngélicaObjective: To determine the relationship between the level of information about the surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021. Methodology: The applied methodology was inductive, performing an analysis of the information gathered, with a quantitative approach. The research was basic, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational. The population was considered finite, consisting of 250 individuals, and the sample was also 250 people, obtained through the application of a questionnaire. Non-probabilistic sampling was used, based on the researcher's discretion, casual or accidental. Results: The p-value obtained was .000, indicating that the significance (sig.) is less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This means that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention correlates with a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021. Furthermore, the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient showed a result of .232, indicating a low positive relationship between the variables. This means that as one variable increases, the other increases, but to a lesser degree. Conclusion: It was concluded that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention leads to a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021.
