Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice on prevention of biological risks of the nursing professional of the surgical center of a Hospital in Ica – 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-04) Huasasquiche Morales, Jenifer Yesenia; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioObjective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice on biological risk prevention of the nursing professional at the Surgical Center of a hospital in the Ica region - 2022. Material and method: This work will use the hypothetical deductive, quantitative method, the applied type, without correlational level experiments. The population will be made up of 60 nurses who work in the surgical center of the Regional Hospital of Ica, a non-probabilistic demonstration will be used for convenience, using the instruments in knowledge of biological risk prevention, consisting of 32 questions and dimensions: Personal hygiene standards, use of personal protective equipment, handling of sharp materials and biocontaminated waste, vaccination schedule; instrument on biological risk prevention practice consists of 20 elements and dimensions: chemical barriers, physical barriers and elimination of sharp and/or contaminated material; Subject to expert judgment, the Pearson relationship coefficient test will be carried out to measure the variables.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients at the San Juan Masías Dialysis Center, Lima – 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-29) Cerna Delgado, Yesenia del Pilar; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleChronic kidney disease is a public health problem that is becoming more frequent worldwide. This condition considerably affects the kidneys, causing deficiencies in blood filtration, extensively damaging these organs; For this reason, waste and abundant liquids from the blood are stored in the body, causing other problems in the individual's health; Therefore, it is necessary to start renal replacement treatment such as hemodialysis urgently. For this, it is necessary to create a vascular access such as the arteriovenous fistula that facilitates said treatment. The patient, who has this arteriovenous fistula, needs to know the corresponding care for his arteriovenous fistula in order to avoid complications and guarantee its functioning. Therefore, the objective of the work is: Determine the level of knowledge about self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients at the San Juan Masías dialysis center - Lima, 2020.Ítem Acceso abierto Limiting the volume of gastric residue in critically ill patients with enteral nutrition to prevent interruption of feeding(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-16) Castiglione Rojas, Carmela Virginia; Midolo Novoa, Jennifer Clane; Matta Solis, Eduardo PercyObjective: Systematize the evidence regarding the limit of the volume of gastric residue in critically ill patients receiving enteral diet to prevent interruption of feeding. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study design used was a systematic review that are ordered and explicit evaluations that help collect and synthesize scientific evidence on a topic, also knowing that it is an observational and retrospective research design, which abbreviates the results of various investigations. The population is made up of 77 articles whose publication was in scientific databases. which Selection criteria were established such as age, degree and quality of evidence through which 10 articles that represent the sample published in Spanish and English no older than 10 years were selected. Results: the 10 articles found are Systematic Reviews with a 40% of the Countries of Spain (4/10), Colombia (1/10), Germany, France, China, Germany and the United Kingdom (4/10), Single-blind randomized controlled clinical trial with a 40%, the Countries of Spain and France (3/10), Systematic Review Meta analysis with 30% the Countries of Germany, the United Kingdom, China (1/10), and the United States, Colombia and Spain (3/10) , Descriptive Study Therefore, high and low quality is evident. Where the volume limit of gastric residue was observed in critically ill patients receiving enteral diet to prevent interruption of feeding. Conclusions: There is favorable evidence that a gastric volume of 150 to 500ml does not allow the interruption of gastric residue.Ítem Acceso abierto Systemic review: Efficacy of probiotic supplementation in reducing nitrogenous waste and uremic toxins in patients with chronic kidney disease(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-01-19) Rosario Rengifo, Pedro Miguel; Mauricio Alza, Saby MarisolObjective: To know the effectiveness of probiotic supplementation in reducing nitrogenous waste and uremic toxins in patients with kidney disease. Materials and methods: Meta-analysis studies and randomized controlled trials were collected from virtual health journals including: Lilacs, BVS Minsa, and PubMed. They were included research evaluating the effect of probiotics on nitrogenous waste and uremic toxins in patients with chronic kidney disease. The GRADE approach was used to determine the quality of the research collected. Results: The information reported in relation to probiotic supplementation did not demonstrate a reduction in nitrogenous waste or uremic toxins, evident in 13 of the selected articles, in which a non-significant decrease was found or no variation was observed in the metabolites studied. Conclusions: It is concluded that the use of probiotics as adjuvant therapy in the nutritional management of chronic kidney disease has not shown proven effectiveness in reducing nitrogenous waste or uremic toxins, therefore it should not be used for that purpose.
