Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional dependence and aggressiveness in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-13) Sosa Guillén, Johan Luis; Paico Ruiz, Marcos JoséThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and aggression in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The study type is descriptive correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and non-probabilistic sampling, with a sample of 176 young adults (94 men and 82 women) aged 18 to 30 years. The instruments used were the Emotional Dependence Questionnaire "CDE" (2006) and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire "AQ," Peruvian adaptation (2012). The results showed a direct and significant correlation between both variables (rho = 0.318, p < 0.00), meaning that young adults who exhibit emotional dependence tend to express aggressive behaviors, aiming to hurt others physically, psychologically, or sexually.Ítem Acceso abierto Resilience and depressive symptoms in adults during the coronavirus health crisis in the district of Santiago de Surco, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-23) Vela Panduro, Perlit; Candela Ayllón, Victor EduardoThe aim of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and depressive symptoms in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in a district of Lima. The design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive correlational. The Resilience Scale (ER II) by Wagnild and Young and the Beck Depression Inventory II were used to collect data. 161 adults participated, 67 males and 94 females. The results showed a significant inverse relationship between the central variables. Regarding the dimensions of resilience, higher attitudes were found in personal competence (85.7%) than in self-acceptance (78.3%). Regarding depressive symptomatology, it was found that both young people and older adults exhibited higher evidence of depressive symptoms.Ítem Acceso abierto Ruminative thinking style and body image dissatisfaction in adolescent women from a public educational institution in Puente Piedra, Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-23) Flores Bravo, Yesica Lourdes; Rivas Rivas, Jorge EnriqueThe research aimed to describe the relationship between ruminative thinking style and body image dissatisfaction in adolescent women from a public educational institution in Puente Piedra. This was a quantitative, descriptive-correlational study applied to 216 participants from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of secondary school. The Rumination Response Scale by Nolen-Hoeksema and Morrow (1991) and the Body Image Dissatisfaction Scale by Cooper, Taylor, Cooper, and Fairburn (1987), both adapted to Spanish and the Peruvian context, were used. The results showed a direct, significant, and moderate relationship (p = .000 and rho = .597) between the ruminative thinking style and body image dissatisfaction, as well as between the dimensions of each variable. Furthermore, it was found that 87% of adolescents had moderate levels of rumination, 12% exhibited a ruminative style, and 36.6% presented body dissatisfaction at some level. It is concluded that high rumination scores tend to be associated with high body dissatisfaction scores, suggesting that both reproaches and reflection styles may be linked to concerns about weight and body dissatisfaction.
