Factores asociados y seguridad alimentaria en pacientes embarazadas en el Hospital Ramón Castilla II, 2023

Abstract

El objetivo general del estudio fue determinar la relación entre los factores asociados y la seguridad alimentaria en pacientes embarazadas del Hospital Ramón Castilla II , 2023. Fue un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional y diseño no experimental en el que se aplicó un cuestionario de factores asociados diseñado en este estudio y la Escala Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Seguridad Alimentaria (ELCSA) a una muestra de 210 gestantes de una población de 380 que se atienden mensualmente en la institución. Se encontró que el 66,2% de las gestantes tiene inseguridad alimentaria. Entre los factores sociodemográficos resaltan como factores de riesgo vivir con más de 6 personas (OR=10,233), tener 4 hijos o más (OR=9,843), vivir en zonas rurales (OR=4,932) y ser soltera (OR=4,532). Entre los económicos resalta no contar con trabajo (OR=6,662), no tener ingresos (OR=7,320) y no contar con ayuda de instituciones (OR=4,033). Los factores culturales de riesgo son la escolaridad hasta primaria (OR=5,523), escolaridad hasta secundaria (OR=3,341) y creer en mitos relacionados con los alimentos en gestantes (OR=1,140). Finalmente, como factores obstétricos se encontró que son de riesgo el periodo intergenésico menor a un año (OR=6,223) estar en el tercer trimestre de gestación (OR=3,449) y tener alguna complicación en el embarazo (OR=3,726); en todos los casos p<0,050. Se concluyó que existe relación entre los factores asociados y la seguridad alimentaria, siendo los factores mencionados de riesgo para que las gestantes padezcan de inseguridad alimentaria.

The general objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the associated factors and food safety in pregnant patients at the Hospital Ramón Castilla II, 2023. It was a study with a quantitative approach, correlational level and non-experimental design in which a questionnaire of associated factors was applied. designed in this study and the Latin American and Caribbean Food Safety Scale (ELCSA) to a sample of 210 pregnant women out of a population of 380 who receive monthly care at the institution. It was found that 66.2% of pregnant women have food insecurity. Among the sociodemographic factors, living with more than 6 people (OR=10,233), having 4 or more children (OR=9,843), living in rural areas (OR=4,932) and being single (OR=4,532) stand out as risk factors. Among the economic ones, it stands out not having a job (OR=6,662), not having an income (OR=7,320) and not having help from institutions (OR=4,033). The cultural risk factors are schooling up to primary school (OR=5,523), schooling up to secondary school (OR=3,341) and belief in myths related to food in pregnant women (OR=1,140). Finally, as obstetric factors, it was found that the intergenic period of less than one year (OR=6,223), being in the third trimester of pregnancy (OR=3,449) and having some pregnancy complication (OR=3,726) are at risk; in all cases p<0.050. It was concluded that there is a relationship between the associated factors and food security, being the aforementioned risk factors for pregnant women to suffer from food insecurity.
