Estrategias de afrontamiento y estrés durante la pandemia COVID-19 de los usuarios que acuden al Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Universitario San Marcos - Lima, 2022

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y el estrés durante la pandemia Covid-19 de los usuarios de un centro de salud mental. Con respecto a la metodología, el estudio es hipotético – deductivo, el enfoque es cuantitativo, aplicada y alcance correlacional. La población está constituida por 700 usuarios y el tamaño de la muestra es de 249 usuarios. Se aplicó el Cuestionario para la Evaluación del Estrés y el Inventario de Afrontamiento al Estrés Brief-Cope 28. Según los resultados, se observa que el 79.5% de los usuarios tienen nivel medio de estrategias de afrontamiento; le sigue el 18.1% que presenta nivel bajo y el 2.4% presenta nivel alto. En cuanto a las dimensiones de afrontamiento es mayor el afrontamiento centrado en el problema con 69.1% y el nivel bajo es mayor en la dimensión centrado en la evitación del problema con un 39%. Con respecto al estrés, el 86.3% de los usuarios se encuentran en el nivel muy alto. Se concluye que existe relación significativa entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y el estrés durante la pandemia del COVID-19 de los usuarios del Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Universitario San Marcos; sin embargo, no existe relación significativa entre el afrontamiento centrado en la emoción y el estrés.

This research aims to determine the relationship between coping strategies and stress during the Covid-19 pandemic in users of a mental health center. Regarding the methodology, the study is hypothetical - deductive, the approach is quantitative, applied and correlational in scope. The population is made up of 700 users and the sample size is 249 users. The Stress Assessment Questionnaire and the Brief-Cope Stress Coping Inventory 28 were applied. According to the results, it is observed that 79.5% of the users have a medium level of coping strategies; It is followed by 18.1% who present a low level and 2.4% present a high level. Regarding the dimensions of coping, coping focused on the problem is higher with 69.1% and the low level is higher in the dimension focused on avoiding the problem with 39%. Regarding stress, 86.3% of users are at a very high level. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between coping strategies and stress during the COVID-19 pandemic of users of the San Marcos University Community Mental Health Center; however, there is no significant relationship between emotionfocused coping and stress.
