Factores determinantes de la salud e infecciones respiratorias agudas en niños de un asentamiento humano de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2024

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre los factores determinantes de la salud y las infecciones respiratorias agudas en niños de 0 a 9 años. El estudio es no experimental, transversal y correlacional; con una población de 200 niños(as) de 0 a 9 años de un asentamiento humano del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho, la muestra fue de 132 niños(as) y el muestreo fue no probabilístico por lo que se aplicaron criterios de exclusión e inclusión. Como resultado, el 50% de los niños tienen de 6 a 9 años y el 66,7% son de sexo masculino, quienes más se enfermaron con infecciones respiratorias aguda, siendo más prevalentes el resfriado común y la faringitis aguda con el 85,6% y 53,8%. En cuanto a los factores determinantes y las infecciones respiratorias agudas, existe relación significativa ya que se obtuvo p = 0,000, con valor correlacional = 0,359, siendo la relación positiva y moderada. En la dimensión ambiental se encontró una relación significativa (p = 0,000 y VC= 0,391) con relación positiva y moderada. En la dimensión nutricional existe una relación significativa (p = 0,000 y VC = 0,202) indica que la relación es positiva y débil. En la dimensión social el análisis de correlación es significativa siendo (p=0,000 y VC = 0,331) por tanto la relación es positiva y moderada. Se concluye que los factores determinantes de la salud ambientales, nutricionales y sociales están relacionados con las infecciones respiratorias agudas en niños(as) de 0 a 9 años.

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the determining factors of health and acute respiratory infections in children from 0 to 9 years old. The study is nonexperimental, cross-sectional and correlational level; With a population of 200 children from 0 to 9 years old from a human settlement in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, the sample was 132 children and the sampling was non-probabilistic so exclusion criteria were applied and inclusion. In the environmental dimension, a significant relationship was found (p = 0.000 and VC= 0,391) with a positive and moderate relationship. In the nutritional dimension there is a significant relationship (p = 0,000 and VC = 0,202), indicating that the relationship is positive and weak. In the social dimension, the correlation analysis is significant, being (p=0,000 and VC = 0,331) therefore the relationship is positive and moderate. It is concluded that environmental, nutritional and social health determinants are related to acute respiratory infections in children from 0 to 9 years old.
