Influencia de la Ansiedad Dental del acompañante en la Conducta Y Ansiedad de niños de 6 a 14 años durante la atención odontológica en la Clínica Odontológica de la Universidad Norbert Wiener; 2016

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la influencia de la ansiedad dental del acompañante en la conducta y ansiedad de niños de 6 a 14 años durante la atención odontológica, el cual se llevó a cabo en la Clínica de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, a pacientes de 6 a 14 años de edad que acudieron con sus acompañantes a realizarse algún tipo de tratamiento odontológico. Se evaluó la ansiedad del acompañante mediante el empleo de la Escala de Corah Modificada Versión Español (MDAS), para la evaluación de la conducta del niño se utilizó la Escala conductual de Frankl, finalmente para evaluar la ansiedad del mismo se aplicó la Escala de Imagen Facial (FIS).
La muestra estuvo conformada por 100 niños y sus acompañantes, el estudio fue de tipo descriptivo - correlacional. Los resultados muestran que el tipo de conducta del niño está significativamente asociado con el nivel de ansiedad del acompañante, sin embargo los niveles de ansiedad del niño durante su atención odontológica no se encuentran asociados a los niveles de ansiedad del acompañante. Los acompañantes en general presentaron un nivel de ansiedad leve a moderado, al evaluar el nivel de ansiedad según sexo del acompañante, el sexo masculino es de tipo moderado (77.8 %), mientras que las mujeres presentaron (39%). La conducta de los niños fue de tipo positivo a definitivamente positivo y el nivel de ansiedad en los niños fue de leve a moderado.
De la investigación se puede concluir que la conducta del niño se encuentra asociada a la ansiedad dental del acompañante, sin embargo al relacionar la ansiedad del niño con la ansiedad dental del acompañante se determinó que son factores no asociados. La ansiedad dental del acompañante influye en la conducta pero no en la ansiedad del niño durante la atención odontológica.
