Prevención odontológica y enfermedad periodontal en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 Centro de Salud San José Villa Salvador

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar la relación entre prevención odontológica y enfermedad periodontal en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 del centro de salud san José Villa salvador -2022.Se realizó un estudio transversal prospectivo en una muestra de 50 pacientes con diabetes mellitus 2.Los resultados indicaron La mayoría era de sexo femenino (60%) de los cuales el grupo etario de 41-59 fue más prevalente (46,6%), el 40% de los pacientes evaluados presentaron Bolsa patológica de 3,5 a 5,5 mm, un 34; el 62% una higiene oral un nivel malo. Un 38% de los pacientes evaluados presentó un nivel de prevención odontológica inadecuada el 100% presentaron prácticas adecuadas; el 89,4% actitudes adecuadas y el 73,6% conocimientos inadecuados. Concluyendo que existe relación entre indirecta y considerable; entre enfermedad periodontal y prevención odontológica en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. (p= 0.000; Rho= -0,562)

The objective of this investigation was to determine the relationship between dental prevention and periodontal disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the San José Villa Salvador health center -2022. A prospective cross-sectional study was carried out in a sample of 50 patients with diabetes mellitus 2. The results indicated the majority was female (60%) of which the age group of 41-59 was more prevalent (46.6%), 40% of the patients evaluated presented pathological bag from 3.5 to 5, 5mm, a 34; 62% oral hygiene a bad level. 38% of the patients evaluated presented an inadequate level of dental prevention, 100% presented adequate practices; 89.4% adequate attitudes and 73.6% inadequate knowledge.
