El Índice triglicérido – glucosa como factor asociado a obesidad en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional en Lima durante el año 2017-2020

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre índice triglicérido-glucosa y obesidad en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional. Hipótesis: Existe asociación significativa entre índice triglicérido-glucosa y obesidad en pacientes de un centro ocupacional. Metodología: El estudio se orienta hacia un enfoque deductivo dentro del método científico, es cuantitativo, diseño de tipo observacional con un enfoque analíticotransversal, de corte transversal, retrospectivo. Resultados: Existe una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el índice TyG y el IMC superior o igual a 30 Kg/m2 en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional. (OR: 1,88; IC 95% 1.10 – 3.19; p=0.020), existe una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el índice TyG y el ICA ≥ 0,5 en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional. (OR: 3.34; IC 95% 1.76 – 6.92; p=0.012), existe una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el índice TyG y el CA-JIS en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional. (OR: 1.81; IC 95% 1.14 – 2.86; p<0.001), exista una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el índice TyG y el CA-ATPIII en trabajadores de un centro ocupacional. (OR: 4.50; IC 95% 2.68 – 7.60; p<0.001) Conclusiones: El índice TyG se encuentra asociado a la obesidad, independientemente del marcador utilizado.

Results: There is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and a BMI greater than or equal to 30 Kg/m^2 in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 1.88; CI 95% 1.10 – 3.19; p=0.020), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and ICA ≥ 0.5 in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 3.34; CI 95% 1.76 – 6.92; p=0.012), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and CAJIS in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 1.81; CI 95% 1.14 – 2.86; p<0.001), there is a statistically significant association between the TyG index and CA-ATPIII in workers of an occupational center. (OR: 4.50; CI 95% 2.68 – 7.60; p<0.001)
