Publicación Acceso abierto Satisfacción con el trabajo y desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería en el área quirúrgica de la institución privada clínica Anglo Americana durante el periodo julio a diciembre 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-20) Alvarez Angulo, Alicia Isabel; Bonilla Asalde, Cesar AntonioIntroduction: The job satisfaction of a professional establishes two important aspects, on the one hand, it affects the productivity of an organization due to its relationship with the worker's efficiency, and from the worker's perspective, it constitutes a factor that determines his performance and psychological health. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of satisfaction and job performance of the nursing staff in the Surgical Area of the private Institution Anglo American Clinic during the period July to December 2019. Materials and methods: quantitative, non-experimental, applied, cross-sectional, correlational research using the hypothetical-deductive method to explore and describe the study phenomena by means of a survey of a census sample of 60 nursing in the surgical area who work in the different shifts. For this purpose, adapted, validated and reliable instruments will be used, such as the 4CornerSAT Questionnaire of Lepnurm et al, a multidimensional scale that includes high-level needs, validated and applicable in medical specialties, and the ad hoc Job Performance Questionnaire created from Montoya's study and modified by Avellaneda et al. Results: It has been determined that there is a moderate and statistically significant positive correlation (Spearman's Rho=0.537; p=0.000) between the level of job satisfaction and the job performance of nursing personnel. Similarly, direct and statistically significant positive correlations have been established between Inherent (Rho=0.755; p=0.000), Occupational (Rho=0.566; p=0.000) and Performance (Rho=0.537; p=0.000) dimensions of job satisfaction and job performance.
