    Effectiveness of an educational program to improve self-care in elderly patients with ischemic stroke

    To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of an educational program to improve self-care in older adult patients with ischemic stroke. Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the level of evidence, found in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Wiley Online Library, Elzevir, Cochrane. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 50% (n= 5/10) are systematic reviews, 50% (n= 5/10) are randomized controlled trials. According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, they come from the countries of Australia, China, Poland, and Latin America. Results: Likewise, of the evidence found, 100% (n=10/10) indicate that the effectiveness of an educational program will improve self-care in older adult patients with ischemic stroke. Conclusion: the intervention of an educational program will improve self-care in older adult patients with stroke.
