Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de cumplimiento de las buenas prácticas de prescripción en el centro de salud "Gaudencio Bernasconi" del distrito de Barranco, periodo enero–julio de 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-06) Ayala Rumaldo, Julia Dionicia; Herencia Torres, Victor ReynaldoThis thesis was carried out with the objective of determining the level of compliance with Good Prescription Practices at the Gaudencio Bernasconi Health Center during the period January – July 2018. A cross-sectional, observational, retrospective, and descriptive study was performed, analyzing unit medical prescriptions from all specialties as well as prescriptions of patients with chronic treatments. For this purpose, the Good Prescription Practices Manual of the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies and Drugs (DIGEMID), the Good Prescription Practices Manual of the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Medication Appropriateness Index (MAI) were used to develop the data collection tool. This allowed the evaluation of the essential characteristics that prescriptions should contain, measuring the magnitude of inadequate prescribing in a sample of 150 prescriptions over six months. The results showed that 100% of prescriptions complied with the International Nonproprietary Name and included the date of issuance. However, 28% of prescriptions did not specify the concentration, 1% omitted the pharmaceutical form, 17% omitted the dosage, and none included the expiration date. Although compliance was observed in some areas, 13.53% of prescriptions still contained errors or omissions, highlighting the persistence of inadequate practices in medical prescribing.
