The selected article titled ‘Effect of exercise on the intestinal microbiota in individuals with metabolic diseases’ was chosen, with a high level of evidence and recommendation grade AI-Strong. The critical commentary concluded that there is significant evidence to suggest that regular moderate-intensity exercise affects intestinal metabolism and microbiota in individuals with insulin resistance.
