Ítem Acceso abierto Adherence to treatment and quality of life in patients with hypertension attending a health center in North Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-13) Roman Flores, Jazmin; Caycho Valencia, Felix AlbertoThe main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between adherence to treatment and quality of life in patients with hypertension who attend a health center. Due to this, a study of deductive, quantitative method, correlational level, applied and nonexperimental design was presented, where a sample group of 94 patients with hypertension who attended a health center in North Lima was identified. The results obtained demonstrate the existence of a moderate positive relationship between the quality of life variable and the dimensions of the frequency in which the medication is taken with p=0.000, Rho=0.426 and mood during treatment with p=0.000, Rho= 0.556; likewise, the variable adherence to treatment maintained a moderately significant relationship between the physical quality of life dimensions with p=0.000, Rho=0.490; psychological quality of life with p=0.000, Rho=0.617 and social quality of life with p=0.000, Rho=0.545. Consequently, a moderate positive significant relationship was identified between the variable’s adherence to treatment and quality of life in patients with hypertension who attend a health center with a P=0.000 and a Rho=0.679, demonstrating that the greater the adherence to treatment, the better the quality of life of the patient with hypertension.Ítem Acceso abierto Alcoholemia and protective attitudes of drivers in the province of Abancay - Apurímac, Year 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-27) Avila Sequeiros, Jefferson; Caycho Valencia, Felix AlbertoTraffic accidents are a public health problem worldwide due to the number of human lives lost every day. This situation worsens when the drunk driver is more prone to accidents because the ability to react is weakened. and compared to another in the same state, if his personality and attitudes make him take additional risks, they trigger the occurrence of an event with fatal consequences. In this sense, this research aims to know whether or not there is a relationship between the level of alcohol and protective attitudes in drivers in the province of Abancay in 2024, therefore carrying out a descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study. For the application, information was collected on the blood alcohol level of drivers in the province of Abancay subjected to alcohol testing in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 who have participated in traffic accidents and surveying 292 drivers for protective attitudes. The results predominate alcohol level of drunkenness (66.7%) and absolute drunkenness (48.4%), alcohol level and attitudes (Chi-square 7.437 with p value=0.282), alcohol level and cognitive dimension (Chi-square 5.813 with p value=0.668 ), alcohol level and the Affective dimension (Chi-square 11.430 with p value=0.076), alcohol level and the Behavioral dimension (Chi-square 7.079 with p value=0.528). In the case of the attitude variable, the 3 dimensions prevail, the neutral or undecided level prevails with the cognitive (56.2%); affective (46.6%) and behavioral (48.3%). Concluding that there is no significant relationship between alcohol level and protective attitudes in driver.Ítem Acceso abierto Associated factors and uterine cervical lesions in HIV-infected women in a hospital, Pucallpa 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-05) Timoteo Inga, Adela Liz; Caycho Valencia, Felix AlbertoWith the objective of “Estimating the associated factors and uterine cervical lesions in HIVinfected women.” A cross-sectional, correlational investigation was carried out. The research method was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, crosssectional, comparative correlational design. The study population comprised adolescents who did not complete the Comprehensive Health Care Package in health establishments in Loreto in 2023. The sample, consisting of 317 adolescents, was selected using a probabilistic sampling formula for a finite population, with a confidence level of 96% and a margin of error of 4%. The statistical test used to evaluate the null hypothesis was Pearson's Chi-square. The analysis of the general hypothesis, with a p-value of 0.000, revealed a significant relationship between certain factors and the non-completion of the Comprehensive Health Care Package. In specific hypothesis 1, focused on sociodemographic factors, the p-value of 0.641 indicated no significant relationship, suggesting the acceptance of the null hypothesis. However, for specific hypothesis 2, on psychosocial factors, the p-value of 0.000 confirmed a clear connection with the noncompletion of the package by adolescents. For specific hypothesis 3, with a p-value of 0.810 regarding sexual and reproductive health, the null hypothesis was accepted. These findings suggest that strategies to increase the completion of the Comprehensive Health Care Package should focus on psychosocial factors, while future qualitative research is needed to delve deeper into the other proposed factors.Ítem Acceso abierto Factors related to tuberculosis in patients belonging to the tuberculosis program of the Pablo Bermúdez-Essalud polyclinic in 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-16) Hernández Ochoa, Melissa; Caycho Valencia, Felix AlbertoOBJECTIVES: To determine the factors associated with the prevalence of tuberculosis in patients enrolled in the Tuberculosis Program at the Pablo Bermúdez Polyclinic (Essalud) in 2021.
