To determine the relationship between factors associated with knowledge of immunodeficiency virus and sexually transmitted infections in women aged 15 to 49 years in the Demographic and Family Health Survey 2023. Methods: Quantitative study, with hypothetical-deductive approach and correlational scope. Results: A significant relationship was found between sociodemographic factors and knowledge about STIs/HIV. The variables with the greatest influence were age (p = 0.008), wealth index (p = 0.014) and marital status (p = 0.007). In the cultural factors, geographic region (p = 0.05), area of residence (urban or rural) (p = 0.003) and educational level (p = 0.000) showed statistically significant associations. In contrast, the health factors number of sexual partners (p = 0.888) and condom use at last intercourse (p = 0.478) did not show a significant relationship with the level of knowledge. Of the women surveyed, 52.6% showed adequate knowledge of STIs/HIV. Conclusion: It is concluded that sociodemographic and cultural factors have a significant influence on STI/HIV knowledge in Peruvian women of childbearing age, while health factors do not show a relevant relationship.
