Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between serum hemoglobin values with correction factor and ferritin in Pediatric Patients at Altitude, Hospital III Puno, January-June 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-24) Espinoza Rivera, Pele Felix; Astete Medrano, Delia JessicaAnemia is a widespread public health issue with far-reaching consequences for human health, as well as for social and economic development. Despite varying anemia prevalence calculations, there is often a lack of accurate data, making it necessary to implement factors that improve hemoglobin levels and reduce anemia cases, especially in regions with limited resources, where a significant proportion of children under five and women of reproductive age suffer from anemia. Anemia drastically affects health, contributing to higher mortality rates among mothers and children. Additionally, iron deficiency in children leads to poor cognitive and physical development, while in adults, it affects work performance.
