Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome and work performance of nursing staff in the intensive care unit in a clinic in Lima, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-19) Fuentes Marrero, Cesar Enrique; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe study aims to "Determine how Burnout Syndrome is related to the job performance of nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit of a clinic in Lima, 2024," conducting the study using a hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, and correlational focus. The sample will consist of 102 nursing professionals who were selected through simple random probability sampling. A survey will be used as the technique, and the instruments to be applied include the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) by Maslach and Jackson, adapted by Aranda et al. (2016) for nurses, which has construct validity through the KMO test with a result of 0.894 and reliability by Cronbach's Alpha of 0.658. Additionally, the Competency Evaluation Questionnaire (CEC) by Soares et al. (2016) will be used to measure the job performance of nurses. This tool was also validated through the KMO test with a result of 0.918 and Cronbach's Alpha of 0.923, indicating that both instruments can be used and applied to the selected sample.
