De igual modo no hay una diferencia significativa en los niveles de fluorosis dental entre los grupos de edad.Ítem Acceso abierto Evaluation of the upper third molar and its relationship with the maxillary sinus in CT scans Cone Beam, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-30) Mendoza Roberto, Bianny Felicita; Garavito Chang, Enna LucilaThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the upper third molar and the maxillary sinus as evaluated in Cone Beam CT scans, Lima 2022. The results showed that Portland cement (CP) had the highest strength, followed by MTA-Angelus, and the Portland cement + zirconium microparticles (CP + OZi) group showed the lowest strength after 48 hours. Conclusion: Zirconia microparticles associated with Portland cement did not improve the mechanical properties after 48 hours, but Portland cement could potentially be used as an alternative to MTA-based materials.Ítem Acceso abierto Frequency of dental traumatisms in relation to overbite and accidental aetiology in cadets of the FAP Officers School, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-05-14) Chilón Trejo, Naysha Widne; Garavito Chang, Enna LucilaDental trauma represents one of the most serious public health problems, as evidenced by the high prevalence reported. Various studies have shown that crown fractures account for 26% - 76% of injuries in permanent dentition, most of which occur in the anterior sector. These injuries have a significant impact on the quality of life, affecting individuals physically, psychologically, and aesthetically. This study is a research thesis aimed at determining the frequency of dental trauma in relation to horizontal overbite and accidental causes in cadets from the Peruvian Air Force Academy (FAP) in 2018. It was found that the frequency of dental trauma in cadet patients from the Air Force Academy is high, with 48.5% of those examined presenting some form of dental trauma. Enamel-only fractures and enamel-dentin fractures were the most common lesions, and they occurred more frequently in male cadets. The most affected age group by dental trauma was the younger group (20 and 22 years). Additionally, it was determined that increased horizontal overbite and accidental causes are associated with the presence of dental trauma. It is recommended that the institution implement monthly seminars to raise awareness about the issue of dental trauma, providing guidance on prevention and teaching cadets how to respond in such cases.Ítem Acceso abierto Frequency of Stafne's bone defect evaluated by digital panoramic radiographs of patients treated at the Multident Los Olivos dental clinic period 2019-2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-05) Encalada Picho, Noemi; Garavito Chang, Enna LucilaThe purpose of this research was to determine the frequency of Stafne bone defects evaluated using digital panoramic radiographs of patients treated at the Multident Los Olivos dental clinic during the 2019-2020 period.
