The objective of this study was: To analyze the in vitro antibacterial effect of the ethanolic extract of Citrus reticulata (mandarin) peel on strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Escherichia coli ATCC, Lima 2023. Methodology: Hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative, experimental, cross-sectional, explanatory. The population consisted of 10 kilograms of Citrus reticulata fruit, and the sample was 1 kilogram of mandarin peel. A solubility test was performed to determine the appropriate solvent, and a phytochemical screening was conducted to identify secondary metabolites. The antibacterial effect was evaluated using the Kirby-Bauer method, with experimental groups at 25%, 50%, and 75% concentrations, compared to Levofloxacin 5 µg (positive control). Results: The mean diameters of inhibition zones at 25%, 50%, and 75% concentrations of the ethanolic extract of Citrus reticulata peel against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Escherichia coli ATCC were lower than those recorded for Levofloxacin 5 µg. Statistically significant differences were observed between the experimental groups (25%, 50%, and 75%) and the DMSO control.
