    A greater understanding of the factors that promote professional teaching practice, according to students' perceptions of quality, contributes to the improvement of educational services. The present research project aims to determine the relationship between communication skills and teaching performance among students at a private university in Lima. A quantitative, basic study with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design is proposed. A survey technique will be used to collect data, administering a questionnaire to a sample of undergraduate students at a private university located in Metropolitan Lima. The scientific method will be followed, using the hypothetical-deductive method for data analysis. As a result, a strong correlation was identified between both variables (ρ = 0.745, p < 0.001), concluding that communication skills are determinants in the perception of good performance by teachers.
