Publicación Acceso abierto Análisis sobre el uso de herramientas digitales en las competencias en farmacología desde la mirada de estudiantes universitarios, Lima-2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-11-20) Laynes Martínez, Aracelli; Herrera Álvarez, Ángela MaríaThe purpose of this study was to analyze the development of pharmacology competencies through the use of technological tools from the perspective of students at a university in Lima, in the year 2024.The methodology of the study was qualitative, the technique used was the interview and was applied to 8 students, where the results show that the most used digital technological tools are Google Academic, Virtual Vademecum and that, the Pubchem page is not used by most of them, it was also evidenced, that digital tools contribute to the development of competencies in pharmacology as, the mechanism of action of the drugs, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and the receptors where they act, however, they lacked to develop other types of competencies that are part of the career and generic competencies such as teamwork, leadership development, making informed decisions, developing creativity, reasoning and communicative competence. It is concluded that, technological tools help in the development of specific competencies of the pharmacology course and some generic ones, but at the same time there were specific competencies of the career that have not been able to be developed; likewise, they point out the importance of the proper use of ITC, because not all information that exists on the Internet is good or reliable and that does not allow the development of some generic skills, such as empathy, solidarity, resilience, among others.
