    Emotional intelligence and empathy in nursing students doing pre-professional practice at Norbert Wiener Private University, Lima – 2018

    Material and method: The study was a quantitative research, descriptive, non-experimental, correlational, prospective and cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 539 nursing students. To collect the data, the survey technique was used, the instrument used was the Emotional Intelligence scale “TMMS – 24” created by Fernández-Berrocal, Extremera and Ramos and the other instrument used was the Jefferson Medical Empathy Scale (EEMJ). ) created by Mohammadreza Hojat. Results: The relationship between the variables was evaluated using Spearman's statistical test (p: 0.316). Of the total number of students surveyed, 49.9% had adequate emotional intelligence, 38% obtained medium empathy, 20.2% had low empathy, and 12.8% had high empathy. Excellent emotional intelligence with 25.4%, where 12.2% had high empathy, 11.5% had medium empathy and 3.7% had low empathy. Finally, emotional intelligence was low with 24.7%, 0.7% of students had low empathy, 0.4% had medium empathy, as well as 0.4% had high empathy. Conclusions: There is a moderate directly proportional relationship between emotional intelligence and empathy in nursing students who carry out pre-professional practices at the Norbert Wiener Private University. Emotional intelligence is adequate and empathy is average in the majority of nursing students surveyed.

    Nivel de conocimientos y actitud de los profesionales en enfermería que determinan la capacidad de respuesta en desastres de origen sísmico en el área de emergencia en el hospital San Juan de Lurigancho 2024

    Objetivo: Determinar la relación del nivel de conocimiento y las actitudes de los profesionales de Enfermería que determinan la capacidad de respuesta en desastres de origen sísmico en el área de emergencia en el Hospital san juan de Lurigancho 2024. Material y método: Este estudio adoptará un enfoque hipotético-deductivo, con un diseño cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo y transversal, que incluirá un análisis correlacional. La muestra estará compuesta por 100 enfermeros del servicio de emergencias del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho en el año 2024. Confiabilidad: Los resultados de esta investigación tienen una confiabilidad muy alta según la herramienta Alfa de Cronbach. Para la variable "Nivel de conocimiento", se obtuvo un coeficiente de confiabilidad de 0.82 y en cuanto a la variable "actitud", el coeficiente fue de 0.83. Para la recopilación de datos se compartirá un forms a cada participante mediante la red social WhatsApp. Para confirmar la hipótesis planteada, se procesará mediante el software SPSS y se empleará la R de Spearman.
