    Estrés laboral y asertividad en enfermeras del Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil El Carmen, Huancayo 2023

    Objective: Determine the relationship between work stress and assertiveness in nurses at the El Carmen Regional Hospital in Huancayo, 2023. Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive method was used with an applied qualitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population was made up of 210 nurses from the El Carmen Regional Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital. A nonprobabilistic convenience sampling was carried out, with 136 nurses as a sample. The technique for data collection is the survey and two questionnaires were used, the first composed of 25 items for the work stress variable and the other of 35 items for the assertiveness variable. Results: For the work stress variable, a 35.29% intermediate stress level was found; For the assertiveness variable, a 52.90% low level of assertiveness (aggressive) was found. In the dimensions of work stress, 41.2% of intermediate stress was found in the organizational climate dimension, for organizational structure 55.1% of intermediate stress, for organizational territory 39.7% of work stress itself, for technology 50.0% work stress itself, for leader influence 30.9% work stress itself, for lack of cohesion 39.7% high stress and for group support 44.1% intermediate stress. Regarding the dimensions of assertiveness, in self-assertiveness a 56.6% low level of assertiveness and for heteroassertiveness a 52.9% low assertiveness level. Regarding the main study variables, a Rho Spearman correlation coefficient of -0.763 was found with a statistical significance of p = 0.000. Conclusions: There is a very strong negative significant relationship between work stress and assertiveness in nurses at the El Carmen Regional Hospital in Huancayo, 2023.
