(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-27) Mejía Rodriguez, Ulises Papillón; Mendiburu Mendocilla, Miguel Antonio
The main objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the relationship between the risk factors of family violence and traumatic injuries treated in the Legal Medical Division of the city of Puno in 2014-2015; the type of research was basic correlational level, the study population were 877 cases of traumatic injuries in cases of family violence, the design was non-experimental. It was found that there is a relationship between risk factors for family violence and traumatic injuries due to family violence (Chi square = 60,373 and p = 0.000); Sex according to the life cycle is a risk factor for injuries due to family violence, but it was evidenced that there is a statistically significant difference between the proportion of men and women. At the individual level, a statistically significant relationship was found between risk factors at the individual level and traumatic injuries (Chi square = 610,894 and p = 0.000), by comparing the life cycles and the occupation of the victims. At the relational level, a statistically significant relationship was found between risk factors and traumatic injuries (Chi square = 20,310 and p = 0.000) when comparing the type of family and the family violence, at social and community level it was found that there is a statistically significant relationship between risk factors and traumatic injuries (Chi square = 23,346 and p = 0.001) when contrasting the types of family from which the victim came and the characteristics of the aggressor. We could show that the victims of family violence were women in 76% and men in 24%, likewise the most attacked were the housewives in 56.9%, followed by the victims who were dedicated to agriculture and merchants, reflecting the behavior of the aggressor that is associated with jealousy over his partner, the degree of instruction of the victim was secondary in 63.1%, followed by the primary school with 14.7% expressing the low level of education of the victims; on the place of origin it is evident that Juli is the place from which the majority of the victims come c 37.6%, followed by Zepita with 18.7% and drain with 16.9%, this is because they are places with greater influx of vehicles that allow victims to be transported more easily; an important component is the family from which the victims come, evidencing that the majority come from dysfunctional homes in 46%; Most of the assaults happened to the home of the victims in 75%, the place of the injuries was the face with 74.7%, followed by head and neck with 69.6% and arm with 59.4%. All these factors converge to make the risk factors produce cases of family violence, and it is an important point that can be prevented by our administrators of justice through the use of energetic measures that prevent the aggressors from behaving improperly and inadequately towards its victims.
