Ítem Acceso abierto Stress and its relationship with job performance in nursing students of the IX cycle of the Norbert Wiener Private University-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-03) Milla Alegre, Glory Nataly; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: To determine how stress is related to work performance in nursing students of the IX cycle of the Norbert Wiener University- 2023. Materials and methods: A quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional approach was carried out using the hypothetical deductive method, in a sample of 107 nursing students of the IX cycle of the Norbert Wiener University – 2023, to whom the following instruments were applied: Nursing stress scale (NSS) and work performance evaluation format. The data obtained were worked on a base of SPSS 24, which allowed the construction of statistical tables, finally to establish the relationship of variables the normality test was performed, which indicates the use of Spearman's Rho test. Results: It was evidenced that there is a population of nursing students in 38.3% who are in low level of work stress, which allows them to have a good job performance. Conclusions: There is a statistically significant negative relationship, according to Spearman's correlation coefficient, between stress and job performance in nursing students of the IX cycle of Wiener University - 2023. In the same way, a statistically significant inverse relationship was found between the dimensions of physical, psychological and social factors of stress with work performance.
