    It is estimated that nearly 40% of older adults in Latin America have frailty syndrome. In our country, one in five older adults suffers from frailty syndrome, which is associated with metabolic diseases. The consequences of frailty can be prevented, and even the frailty itself can be reversed. In this sense, preventing frailty in older adults involves promoting active aging with an emphasis on health promotion.
