Publicación Acceso abierto Reacciones adversas medicamentosas en pacientes hospitalizados en una clínica privada, durante el periodo 2020–2021. Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-08) Martínez Gonzales, Rosa Isabel Teresa; Pérez Gallardo, Sheyla Fiorella; Guadalupe Sifuentes de Posadas, Luz FabiolaThe Objective of this research was to determine the Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) in patients hospitalized in a private clinic during the period 2020–2021. Methodology: The research was a non-experimental, observational, and cross-sectional study. It consisted of reviewing the suspected ADR report forms, with a sample of 231 patients. Data collection forms for patients who presented adverse reactions were used as instruments. SPSS version 25.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results: 99.3% of the patients presented ADRs. The most frequent pathologies were diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs (25.9%), followed by symptoms, signs, and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings (13.8%), and neoplastic diseases (11.3%). 148 different adverse reactions were identified, distributed among the 282 patients. The most frequent was pancytopenia, presented in 18 patients, equivalent to 6.4% of the total cases. This was followed by diarrhea and hyperglycemia, with these three adverse reactions representing 16% of the grand total. Conclusion: It was determined that 99.3% of hospitalized patients presented adverse drug reactions during the 2020–2021 period. Correctly identifying the most frequent ADRs can prevent them and contribute to better optimization of pharmacotherapy.
