Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of bee honey in the treatment of acute cough to decrease its severity, frequency and improve the quality of sleep in children from 1 to 5 years old(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-17) Pichilingue Estupiñan, Jackeline Andrea; Chaname Trelles, Melina Haira; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of honey in the treatment of acute cough to reduce severity, frequency, and improve sleep quality in children aged 1 to 5 years. Material and Method: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search was restricted to 10 full-text articles. The reviews of the articles were obtained from the following databases: Pubmed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, Dialnet, Scielo, and Lilacs. They were analyzed using the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles, 70% (7/10) were randomized clinical trials (RCTs), 10% (1/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (1/10) were experimental studies, and 10% (1/10) were cross-sectional studies. The articles came from Canada 20% (2/10), Saudi Arabia 10% (1/10), Iran 10% (1/10), Nigeria 10% (1/10), Malaysia 10% (1/10), Italy 10% (1/10), Chile 10% (1/10), Egypt 10% (1/10), and Brazil 10% (1/10). Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) showed that honey is effective in the treatment of acute cough to reduce severity, frequency, and improve sleep quality in children aged 1 to 5 years. Conclusions: The articles, 100%, show that honey is effective in the treatment of acute cough to reduce severity, frequency, and improve sleep quality in children aged 1 to 5 years, by boosting the immune system, with antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects.Publicación Acceso abierto Estilos de vida y prácticas de autocuidado del pie diabético en adultos mayores del Hospital de Supe – Lima, 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-11-23) Pichilingue Estupiñan, Jackeline Andrea; Allpas Gómez, Henry LowellIntroducción: El pie diabético se puede prevenir con buenos hábitos; por tanto, un estilo de vida saludable incluyendo el autocuidado es relevante para evitar este tipo de lesiones. El objetivo de estudio es determinar la relación entre los estilos de vida y las prácticas de autocuidado del pie diabético en adultos mayores del Hospital de Supe-Lima, 2025. Metodología: Método hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental, correlacional y prospectivo. La población será 79 adultos mayores con diabetes tipo 2 del Hospital de Supe “Laura Rodríguez Dulanto”, del periodo septiembre-octubre del 2025. Los instrumentos a utilizar serán: “Instrumento para medir el estilo de vida en diabéticos” (IVEMID) y el “cuestionario sobre el nivel de autocuidado de los pacientes con diabetes tipo 2” de Aracelly Méndez. En el análisis estadístico se empleará la prueba de chi-cuadrado de independencia o en su defecto la prueba exacta de Fisher; se considerará significancia estadística un p valor <0.05.
